The spear should be little bit longer than your elbow 👍
What the special grip is used for? It seems to work just like the normal grip but with the danger of a pointy blade directed towards the user.

Actually, it's difficult to get Tinbe even in Japan.
I know the place which sells it but they don't send overseas.
I think you should check "Shureido USA".
