I really love the 2000x He-Man and Skeletor. For me, it isn't the lack of cape, more the havoc staff. I kind of want a longer one to go with this Skeletor. Just that when you add that Keldor cape, he just pops off more.
I do like how we got a 200x version of he man for origins, just in general to bring more attention to that criminally underrated show and it's associated products. I WILL say that, I had previously made a custom 200x Origins figure using the old 200x figure line accessories and the MOTUC 200x weapons and head and it turned out REALLY well. (not trying to plug another channel) but if you want to find out how to do it for yourself (it's SUPER quick and relativey easy) look up He-Bro's tutorial
I'm glad they went with a more vintage style face on this 200x he-man, the more cartoon accurate faces they used on Filmation, NA, and CGI He-man in that Mattel Creations four pack all looked pretty awful on the origins body.
Been looking forward to this wave for ages. I adored 200X so I'm keen to see it's style recreated in Origins. It helps make it so Origins can expand beyond the vintage era, similar to Classics. Like you, I like MOTU agacent characters so I've been looking forward to Pig Head as well. Funnily enough, Mantenna is the one character I'm passing on as he doesn't fall into anything I personally collect. As for 200X, both Snake Armour He-Man and Skeletor were shown off at SDCC, with the former being said to be in Wave 10/Wave 1 of the Snakemen figures. I'm guessing SA Skeletor will be in wave 2. There was also glimpses of Revelations King Grayskull, so I'm hoping we'll see the 200X version some day as well so I can display them side by side.
I get these four today from BBTS. They look great. My participation in Origins has really been something of a phenomenon in my collector life, because I'm actually a generation behind the creation of this character. I played with the lines that created him like Big Jim in the early 70's. But I like origins because they fix everything on the original line that never appealed to me from an esthetic perspective...specifically articulation. Now they have more of those old school sensibilities and the updates in general are wonderful. So I'm all in. Great video! Thanks for sharing. I subscribed today.
Agree that Mantenna is the best of this wave (not counting the Deluxe figures). Loving the inclusion of The Rulers of the Sun characters. But I'm getting a little tired of the many, many, many releases of He-man and Skeletor, when there are so many other characters that need/should have a release. Not sure why the 200X figures need to be included. I'm thinking of them as "multiverse" versions of the characters...but yeah...not excited by them all that much.
I hate the weird middle ground they went with for the 200X figures. I hope they get to them in Masterverse eventually since they probably won't do the 80's He-Man in slightly different clothes thing Classics and Origins did.
I just got my set of this wave in and I seem to have gotten the European release. Three languages on the box. The comics had no text in them. Is that the same with these comics?
Didn’t classics do the same thing with their version of the 2000x snake armour He-Man head? That was within the same aesthetic as the rest of the other heman heads used in that line. So maybe, just maybe they are trying to keep his look the same throughout all the heman releases in origins
Personally I don’t see the need for 200X variants. Sun man either. Those should’ve been the Mattel creation offerings. Taking up spots in the core waves isn’t appealing to me.
I actually really like both 200x he-man and skeletor. To me Pighead is the weakest in the wave, but still a very interesting design. I do agree Mantenna is the strongest in the wave. Excited to add to the Horde.
In my opinion, the 200x He-Man is the best Origins He-Man figure to date. I love that the vintage face is used because while I loved both the 200x cartoon and the associated figures, the original 200x He-Man was amongst my least favorite, as the face sculpt never said “He-Man” to me.
I enjoy your reviews & will watch more but I’m in opposition to your opinions on this wave. Mantenna & Pig Face are sooo gooofy, can’t stand em..even if one does have four legs ;) Even as a kid my tastes went to “cool” looking not “silly” looking & those two are ridiculous. This version of He-Man & Skeletor is a great addition despite the outlandish weapons that are accurate to the cartoon, never liked them. The original Mattel toy line had simple but well designed weapons not unwieldy ones.

Dude that cape looked pretty awesome in skeletor

I'm happy we are getting all the versions in Origins, why not, they are doing it in Masterverse.
This he man figure just looks like the vintage he man wearing a boy band style wig!

Mantenna really is a creature straight out of a nightmare

200x Skeletor didn’t come with a cape
That He-man is more like a cartoon version of Dolph Lundren.
the 200X He-Man puts me in mind of Dolph Lundgren He-Man, but hey, that may just be me

6:11 - "You cant be a Horde member without a crossbow" - Mosquitor and the Horde Trooper disagree
Pigman makes a nice motu Orc, moblin, army builder.
Or a GANON to fight a Link action figure. Hell give him some Sith robes and he's like the 1989 cartoon Ganon.

All of the big box stores near me are still lousy with the Jitsu wave. Nothing new ever shows up. I'm having to go exclusively online
how is that a bad thing? Yes there are scalpers but it’s less of a pain than going to every single target in your area and finding nothing in the end
@@masterfarr8265 well truth be told it's not a bad thing per se. Just disappointing as I like the hunt.

Does the pig head light up in black light
At last we have the baconator.
Nice, short intro. 👍🏻
In my opinion I think the 200x figures are the best ones. But I can see why he thinks they are ok

Loving the Sun Man figures! I'm not really feeling the 200X look in this scale/style. I REALLY wish they'd do some Princess of Power in Origins.
I really want a Shadow Weaver and Catra at the very least.
I actually really like both 200x he-man and skeletor. To me Pighead is the weakest in the wave, but still a very interesting design. I do agree Mantenna is the strongest in the wave. Excited to add to the Horde.
so what the hell is the next wave? for everything they showed off they sure made it unlcear
The next wave should be Digitino, King Randor, Trap Jaw in Minicomic colors and Whiplash.
There was another version of Evil-Lyn that was 200X, so the 200X stuff isn't really new.
In my opinion, the 200x He-Man is the best Origins He-Man figure to date. I love that the vintage face is used because while I loved both the 200x cartoon and the associated figures, the original 200x He-Man was amongst my least favorite, as the face sculpt never said “He-Man” to me.
In my opinion DEFINITELY NOT
nice
Picked up this set at Target last Thursday. Not sure whether to open them up or not.
nice alove

Skeletor's face should have vampire fangs and a bone colored Skull. His face wasn't green or yellow in that series.
One of the WORST waves minus Mantenna.
Neither Walmart nor Target carry these figures
Nice. Corcel
