A helpful approach to the winter season, look to nature, resting, retreating, following a slower rhythm. The best advice to restore and replenish our energy and creativity, ready for brighter days, thank you.

@@fionahaigh708 you’re welcome! Winter can feel cold and dreary, I’ve found it such a lovely time simply by enjoying the retreat and hibernate aspect of it.
      Happy knitting and happy restoration!

I love your philosophical approach to knitting. We all need to retreat and renew. I love autmn and cosy evenings knitting in front of fire. Bliss!

Oh! I’ve been dreaming of a wonderful knitting retreat with lots of wonderful people. Lots of laughs, yummy food, and FINISHED OBJECTS! 🎉 wouldn’t that be lovely?

What a lovely thought (I'd only want a few people though, don't do so well with large crowds, even with fellow knitters!)

    I feel the hygge 😌
Perfect for a horrible rainy day. Sat in coffee shop with husband today. Lovely chai latte, knitting and chatting. I have finished back, front and sleeve for 1 of my jumpers. Didn't want to take cable as I need to follow pattern. Straight forward, easy stocking stitch is perfect for me. Back and fore watching it slowly grow. I think the gent on the next table was a bit mesmorised 🤭 x

You are so welcome! So glad it resonated. Winter can feel like such a rush as the end of year approaches, but we can take that time to really sink into the relaxation with our knitting. Happy knitting! 🧶

I love this idea of slowing down! Right now I am frantically making Christmas Gifts and it feels so stressful. I love the cowl you showed in the video! Is the pattern available? It has been awhile since I did color work but I would like to make it after the holidays are over. It is beautiful!

Hi! yes, slowing down can be difficult, but even just a few minutes at a slower pace each day can make a big difference overall.
The Sashiko Cowl is available, as a past knit-along, in the Knit With Hannah Academy, here: academy.knitwithhannah.co.uk/sg-sashiko-cowl
You'll have all the tutorials, patterns and added extras to go with it, so it becomes a self-guided knit-along.
      Happy knitting 🧶
