I love this video, it is like going in a time machine back to 1992 - the year I first met Kanetsuka Sensei. I had been studying Aikido for three years or so then and, although I wasn't in this particular practice, I remember Sensei's classes so vividly from around that time that it doesn't matter when the audio is distorted, I can still hear his every word with absolute clarity! On a deeper level, watching with the benefit of a further 25 years experience of Sensei's movement, I find myself both inspired and intrigued by what I can see in this video today that then I could not see then, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to study from this video and to try and achieve a deeper understanding still of Kanetsuka Sensei's Aikido. With this hindsight it is deeply humbling to me to appreciate how, now aged 77, he still works unendingly to continuously improve his art, both for himself and also for his students who receive his practice with enormous gratitude and respect.
Wonderful to see this. I trained for some time many years ago with Kanetsuka Sensei. This had a deep impact. Thank you with deep respect and fond memories🙏

Minoru Kanetsuka RIP Sensei.
Very nice to see, brings back memories!
Wat briljant dat je dit op hebt genomen. Ik hoop stiekem dat er nog veel meer materiaal is. Echt een gouden tijd voor velen.
Happy days
