Taken 3N14 many times in the last 50 years. There used to be sugar pines everywhere once you got up to 4500 feet. Those cacti are Joshua Trees. The Town of Apple Valley has 70,000 people and is a great place to live. 👍
The flag you talked about being backwards in the beginning of the video is correct and you’re wrong. With vehicles the stars are on the right to give the effect of waving in the wind.
@@Alderoffroad It's wrong because the flag is to look as if we are never retreating. I also wish people understood flag code, or hell, gave a crap about the flag at all.
PAS! If you have never driven in snow, have street tires, and/or snow chains DO NOT try this trail. People and vehicles can get seriously hurt on easy trails because of snow and inexperience. Also think of where you are stopping. Get off of the road so others can pass. Be aware vehicles slide in snow do not park on a turn at the bottom of a hill! Be safe have fun!
Awesome trail. I go up that way to big bear a few times every winter after a snowfall to make it more challenging. Lots of areas for the family to play in the snow. Great video!
Many years ago i was running that trail with my dad and we came upon an elderly couple stuck in the only snow on the mountain they had been there for hours, it was about 40 feet of uncut snow drift they tried to send it through and they made it exactly half way across in their pickup like yours and dug straight into the frame, if we hadn't come along with a strap from the desert side i don't know what they would have done, its dangerous to go alone thanks for sharing.
Wondering if my wrangler with All terrain tires will be fine up this. Looks like it will be sunny all day with no snowfall in the past couple of days as well.
Great Video! Travel to Big Bear frequently, thinking of trying this route with my new Jeep JL, did you have to lower your PSI on this road? Thanks bro.
You can also download the “bfgoodrich on trails” app too. It’s free to register and you get a bunch of trails. You can pay monthly and get even better access to premium trails or “secret trails” but the free app should be good enough 👍🏼
Just want to mention this cause i didnt see anyone else elaborate; the flag isnt backwards cause as you move forward, it appears as if the flag was blowing in the wind. The other side should have the flag in the orientation we all know, but on the right it will appear backwards
Please do not underestimate this trail even it is considered as 'beginner trail'. Some part of the trail is narrow, your car could slipped and fall off the cliff, especially if there is snow, ice, or rain. There are a few spots that low clearance car/suv could have difficulty.
Looks like an awesome trail. I'm looking for beginner trails near me as I'm new to trucks and/or offroading. Too bad this trail is so far away. I'm in Oakdale, CA.
Gotta luv Cali. Snow boarding on a mountain in the morning, at the beach surfing late afternoon.
Yep!! I’ll never leave haha
@@TacoManD4X4 As Arnold said, I'll be back.

LOL came here to say this.
Not exactly why it's wrong... but you are correct, its wrong. Most people do not understand the Flag code...
@@Alderoffroad It's wrong because the flag is to look as if we are never retreating. I also wish people understood flag code, or hell, gave a crap about the flag at all.
Yes, you are correct. Looked at it again, the stars are correct on the truck (in the beginning of the video, fueling...)
UPS drivers out there use some of those dirt roads. Crazy seeing a UPS truck on a dirt road.

North shore Cafe is a hidden gem! Awesome video go hunting in Fawskin all the time
It hit the spot!! Definitely going back next winter!
That’s a cool trail. Truck is looking beautiful. Thanks for the update!
Thanks man!! Super scenic trail! Even if I was an advanced off roader, I would still do this trail just for the scenery! haha Thanks for watching!
Nice trails to enjoy the day
Awesome trail. I go up that way to big bear a few times every winter after a snowfall to make it more challenging. Lots of areas for the family to play in the snow. Great video!
Can I do that with a trd sport?
Yes, definitely
I took my trd offroad 4x4 up there completely stock and had no issues, never even put it in 4 low.
Alright thats it I’m doing it 😤
If you look on my channel there's an old video I made with go pro editing of coxey rd with some snow. Good luck!
I haven't checked this place out yet. Will go for sure!
Definitely a fun and easy trail! There is another difficult trail nearby i think its called Holcomb Valley Trail

Signal peak, Bowman lake trail, met, sour grass
Would you say this trail is 2WD friendly?
Yes definitely!!
not in the winter after snow fall. I've seen 4x4 jeeps turn around and 2x4 wont make it far pass the big rock at the beginning
@@jOEL-mp6ho thanks for the reply. My truck was recently stolen so I'm on the market for a 4x4 now
Nice trail. I’m up in Nor Cal. I’ll have to hit that up. Looks hella fun
Hey I'm from North County area can you give the coordinates from your starting point?
How long does it take from the beginning of 3N14 to big bear?
I’m pretty sure it’s about 17 miles. Doesn’t take too long if you don’t stop a lot like we did
What exit into Apple Valley (off Hwy 15?) did you take to hit the dirt road to Coxey? Thanks!
Awesome trail. Did you have 4WD on the whole time?
Wasn’t in 4 wheel drive at all
Thanks for the info sir! You got yourself a new subscriber
No problem!! Thanks for the support!!

Would be nice if it's 360 camera so we can also see the beautiful view !! have fun and be safe 😎
Yeah, that would be a good I’m investment!

The flag isn’t backwards

My question is why were you guys driving so fast. Slow down and enjoy it. Unless you were in a rush.
Unfortunately we had to get to big bear at a certain time :/ we still enjoyed it though 👍🏼
@@TacoManD4X4 that makes sense. Lol hope yall enjoyed the views. Your girl did great behind the wheel.
Nice video man! Thumps up, 👍
By the way, that reminds me of not buying used Tacoma’s . 🙂
Makes me want to move back.

You need to get some looser suspension
I was 100% stock right here.

i dont understand why you have to drive fast as you possible you can?
not sure if your messing with why the flag is like that and the meaning of it
I wonder if he loves the truck more then the girl.
Definitely not
