    So nice to see this done without a sewing machine. Snippet rolls have intimidated me because I do not have a sewing machine. Thank you so much for making this activity accessible.

    Seriously, I love this idea!! I have been, since I started papercrafting, addicted to fussy cutting. I buy digi's purely so that I can fussy cut. I've got bags and bags of fussy cuts for all seasons, and I'm yucky at fitting them pleasingly into journals. With this idea, I can take some of the oops printed papers, tear them down to strips and glue my gozillions of fussy cuts! Yay!! Thank you for choosing this for one of your 100 day projects!!!

    • @cheryllasich9467

      @@sandrairish9989 I'm just a computer illiterate person that loves to fussy cut. I'd gladly give you a bunch of fussy cuts purely so that I can cut more. Problem is I don't know how to get them to you.

      @studio-989 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh my gosh! I would love to know what type of scissors you prefer to use for fussy cutting?❤

    • @cheryllasich9467
      @cheryllasich9467 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@studio-989 I have a pair of the Fiskars 'easy action' scissors that I use for most of my fussy cutting. 'Easy action' scissors are the ones that have only a straight bar where your thumb goes and a loop for your fingers. I also have a pair of Tim Holtz 7 inch scissors that I use to get the white out of the loops in bows, or the middles out of fancy frames. I also use the Tim Holtz when the images are so tight together, such as evergreen boughs etc. I hope that gives you some kind of an idea as to how I get out the fussy cuts. I also do them kinda assembly line style. By that I mean that I print my pages. Then look at the page and cut out chunks of images that are kinda clumped together, then I just go to town cutting out the images and if I bump into places where I need the Tim Holtz scissors, I start a new pile for serious FUSSY cuts and go on with the Fiskars cutting out images from the first pile of clumped together images. When I've finished with the Fiskars pile; I switch scissors and go to town with the Tim Holtz. When I'm done cutting I sort the images into smaller piles such as Kitchen, Words, Labels, People, Animals, etc. For me it is loads of entertainment. I'm 65 years young, my hubby passed 5 years ago, I live alone, and fussy cutting allows my mind to wander over my past life while I'm doing something helpful towards my current life.

    I've never cut the edge straight. It looks lovely though! You can also put a double-sided tape on a base paper. Then just stick scarps on it. Maybe add additional glue to overlapping parts where needed. Might be even faster this way 😁

Our exchange rate is so bad against the Euro and Dollar that it has become almost impossible to get any overseas post/digitals. ANYHOOOOO, enough moaning from me. Thank you for todays 100 day project, it was delicious and I am then going to watch No 8 after this!!!! Double enjoyment for me today!!!!!! Look after yourself and keep well. Hi from Canada! Margreth, this project is really brilliant! I love all your videos but haven't often made them, since I don't make junk journals. But I do have a bullet journal and a reading journal - and these page-edge collages would be perfect to decorate them. I can hardly wait to make a couple and use them. I also love to print book covers, stamp-sized, so I could use book covers in these collages, too. Very inspirational - thank you! 😍

    This tutorial is amazing! Thanks for your tip about using the square punch. I can't cut a straight line to save my life. I usually make ATCs, so this was a fun break. I made 4 strips 12" long and 1" wide. I attached them to film strips and hung them from a wooden sign. Epic.
