Had that blender just for a year and it started to constantly give problems: and guess what there is like a 10 step process just to reset it. The vacuum seal container is just for a few hours and then it will typically start loosing the vacuum seal.
I’ll add a comment in follow up to my one below. It was explained that what I received is the newest model. However, it doesn’t come without flaws. It does emit an unpleasant odor when blending frozen fruits and ice. It’s often strong. I’ve had it exchanged and the same thing happened. I was told that the odor goes away after several uses. I used it repeatedly for a few days and the odor waned. However, after not using for a couple days, the odor intensified again. The odor does not go away so it seems that this blender struggles with ice/frozen fruits. It will do well only with items that are not frozen. This is a disappointment. Based on the price and it’s inefficiency in handling ice/frozen fruits, I would not recommend.
Leafy greens are supposed to go in first after the liquid. The weight of harder/heavier produce, in this case the apples pushes them towards the blade aiding the process.
I purchased one about 4 years ago. It is currently on its way back for warranty work...for the second time. After the first breakdown i quickly purchased a second one ( i live off of smoothies). Now the second one one is going back in for work. Two blenders going back in at the same time for the exact same problem. I purchased the dynapro2250 tribest with an even longer warranty. The capa bility of the tribest makes the kuvings look like a toy. Buy the tribest...case closed
I have one of these blenders. The instruction book says the handle should be right facing. I have tried it left facing and it does not work all the time. Now I keep it right facing and have no problems with it running.. One of the surprises is that it is not a grounded plug. It does say to unplug the unit when not in use. I unplug it right away after making my smoothie, even if I intend to run a clean cycle right away. Then I plug it back , do the clean cycle and unplug it right away. ALSO, I turn off any other item that is attached to the same outlet as this blender..
Terrific video. Very informative!! :) The Kuvings. Perhaps it's selling price reflects the fact that vacuum blenders are still a niche tech. Tech I would have like to have seen include: A LCD display as on the Belendtec 725 or even the Vitamix a3500. Toggle switches for pulsing and on/off (like on some Vitamix models). "food presets"... Looks like Vitamix still has the better design/features. Minus of course the vacuum ability. Which I haven't been sold on yet. Most of us won't be holding onto drinks/foods we blend. Short of a nut butter...but not that long with. They should also have "on the go 20oz jars". 8oz jars...like the Vitamix Ascent. :) Perhaps when Kivings makes the right changes I might consider them in a few years. Price also needs to drop significant'y to get more interest/purchases. Most people won't be able to afford one priced now more than a Vitamix a3500.
Thank you for your review. Your video is several years old but hope you can answer my question. I did buy the Kuvings vacuum blender but is very finicky and problems from the start. Although I ordered the one you demonstrate and it was clearly pictured on a sales website, I received a different model, the SV500MU. The first button vacuums using the accessory as well as blends & juices using the container. The second is for smoothies and vacuums and blends using ice. The third button is the same as the one you demonstrate. I don’t understand why I received this model as it isn’t pictured on any U.S. website. I’m currently negotiating to hopefully have it exchanged for what I ordered vs this model that has been having problems. Are you familiar with the model I mentioned? Any feedback you can give me would be very much appreciated!
Good Day 🌸 Thank You for channel. 😊 If you can ask few questions: Q1: If we can make coffee :) without water :) , why you recommend add water in case of fruit smoothies () ? Michel Gaudet you're being stupid now, that's what I'm saying, the end result looked better than the Vitamix, way better! Kuvings wins hands down, not even close, no contest! Do you understand now what I'm saying?
@@Huepalace Vacuum makes food safe longer. The point of canned food being vacuumed is for long term storage. This isn't meant for long term storage. This is meant for now and the immediate future. This machine IS a gimmick.
Anita, why can you not seem to live without your favourite veggie Kale LOL :P :D. Great video, but that blender doesn't really impress me much . I'll stick with my Ninja & Vitamix. Also the Vitamix did a far better job than the Kuvings.
Anita, I am going to assume you already know the following, but for the 'newbies' thinking of getting into SERIOUS coffee preparation, please note that no one who is looking for GREAT coffee uses any sort of BLADE grinder, but rather what is referred to as a 'BURR' grinder, many types of which are on the market. The main issue with a blade grinder is the non-even way the beans are ground. Regarding the comment some might make which goes like "If you want a finer coffee grind, just grind for a longer time.", doing so can usually end-up burning the coffee, which is a big no-no. Any who, my current fave grinder is a smallish hand-crank type which allows me to set the grind from VERY coarse, such as used for French-press , right on down to the near-powder needed for a Turkish type_ VERY strong. But when lazy, I pull out my 'Cuisinart' I recently got that does a great job on the beans. Or I just might decide to pull out the 'GAGGIA' bean grinder; hmm - if doing THAT, out comes the 'GAGGIA' espresso device to. Dang_ now I gotta go make me an espresso or cappuccino. :-D Keep the great vids coming, please.
Hi Michel, yes I’ve reviewed a burr grinder. Thanks for sharing! Blade grinders are definitely for those who are short on time and want to spend about $20 😀

Excellent and best demo of Kuvings Sv500 vacuum blender thank you so much for easy clear and thorough instructions
👍😁

One way to guarantee a quality kitchen appliance is to check how many years of warranty the manufacturer provides. The more years the better
Nice job, Anita. Your comparisons answered every question we would have. Thanks.
great review and glad u compared it to the vitamix 5200

Fantastic review! Fair and unbaised as always. Demonstrates capabilities of both blenders well. Thanks!!
😀👍

Actually, you can and SHOULD vacuum dry ingredients. Less oxidation that way. Take flax seeds for example. Vacuum will only help, not hurt.
Like putting a blanket over your blender to reduce noise. The vacuum seal is the selling point here. A vitamix with a vacuum seal would be best.
Kuvings is king for sure.
Loved your review. Thank you. 🙏

7:16 I agree that the Kuvings produced a nicer looking smoothie, but to me that looks like a darker green, not brighter
You did an awesome job!! Thanks for the review!!!
😀
Good review, but you definitely need more water with your apple and kale blend. This will reduce the lumpiness.
i noticed that too, thanks for the suggestion

love to know this new item
Hola la esfera roja viene como parte de Kuvings?
Anita could you do a review on the berg2200 watt blender please?. Brilliant review as always but you'll never do a bad review.
:Thank you for this excellent review. Until now is it still working properly especially for the vacuum function?
what is the purpose of vacuum before blending
Nothing in my opinion, especially if you usually drink your smoothies immediately after making.
want a red colour but not in canada for sale yet.
wow, that's a great video!
Thanks 😀
Thanks for the video and review.
You’re welcome 😀
Biomix blender check it out.
Does it blend seeds and nuts as well?
Good Day 🌸

is the blending time based or does it change depending on what we put inside
What about grinding grains to floor ?
Kuvings looks way better than the Vitamix.
Looking better doesn't make for a better result, OSW. It's the RESULT that counts, wouldn't you say?
Michel Gaudet you're being stupid now, that's what I'm saying, the end result looked better than the Vitamix, way better! Kuvings wins hands down, not even close, no contest! Do you understand now what I'm saying?
LOL, I can get a $10 device on Amazon and pull the air out of my Vitamix. You guys jump for anything.
vacuum has more pros
Kuvings is better. Vitamix's juice has a lot of foam, I don't want to drink it.
Could you please a comparison video on kuvings Vaccum blender vs Breville super Q
I just like hearing the way you talk.
😀
Sound readings mean nothing when the meter is used inconsistently and incorrectly.
It's quieter...period
Where can i buy one
is there any health benefit from vacum blend?
No, not a bit. Hmm_ perhaps keeping the air out of a baby-type puree, but a little bit of burping isn't really a health issue, right?
no froth in vacuum blending.
Yes there is. Oxygen in normal blender oxidises the ingredients. Vacuume blender removes most of the oxygen when blending.
@Naughtysauce you have to know why all the can food and jar food make a shield with vacuum. vacuum makes food safe longer.
@@Huepalace Vacuum makes food safe longer. The point of canned food being vacuumed is for long term storage. This isn't meant for long term storage. This is meant for now and the immediate future. This machine IS a gimmick.
The consistency is definitely not the same the Vitamix is a bit thinner not that that's a bad thing but the consistency is definitely not the same
Great vídeo tu muy linda
😀
Where can i buy one i live in New York thank u
Hi, you can buy it here: amzn.to/2pKpXH4
En cual tienda lo benden, Donde lo benden se be muy bueno sera sierto
Blendtec Is the king of blending
Dynapro2250
Well this and all should be made from Glass. Honestly this is all going way past which most will go. Hardcore going on here..

😂
Very nice blender. Very expensive. Over $1000 Canadian to purchase in Canada.
it's actually 2 & a bit HP Anita. NOT 3 & 1/2 HP.
Hi Carol, it does sound like a large number but Kuvings states it’s a 3.5 peak horsepower, 32,000 RPM motor 😀
Красивая и милая девушка.))))) Блендер тоже хороший.
Hi again! I have a GoWISE USA high performance blender that is similar to a Vitamix. Would you recommend grinding coffee beans in it
I wouldn’t recommend grinding dry ingredients in any blender unless the manufacturer states it’s ok to do so 😀
@@bestkitchenreviews Oh, ok! Thanks! Great job reviewing the blender!!
