These women drive me nuts. She is the one wronged here, from beginning to end but she's the nice, calm one trying to soothe his bruised life and his bruised ego after just losing a child to miscarriage. He hasn't said a thing about the loss, her health, her mental state - nothing. He pushes his way past her mother insisting he's going to talk to her regardless of what her mother says, but he can't stand up to his *own* nosy, overbearing, dictatorial, mean-spirited mother. I don't feel bad that he's henpecked by his mother, by his ex-wife and has an undisciplined, spoiled brat of a child, all of whom disrespect his wife who is/was pregnant with his child. Try as she might, she could not get his family to accept her, or even try to like her and she sadly and pathetically pinned her future hopes of being happy in that mess of a family on them having their own child whom she also hoped 'might' be accepted by that brood of vipers. How pathetically sad for her and the unborn child, that they'd be in that chaos from the start. Her being hospitalized and losing *their* child should have been *the* most important thing in his existence, but some lame excuse of his skewed sense of 'family' and 'responsibility' and 'priorities' makes him think a gift bag and a few half-dead flowers will compensate his wife for all that hurt, loss and grieving? These men should never get married - stay with mama for life and mess around with as many loose women as will have your sorry donkey's beehind, but leave the precious, kind, soft-spoken, faithful, loving women alone. They deserve better than you losers.

What does forgive have to do with this? The second wife finally realized she will never be a priority to her husband. There is no room for another hen in the henpecking order and her husband is certainly henpecked, which means he is a weak man who allows the women in his life to push him around. It is best to cut her losses and find someone else.

Lingling is mimicking how her mother and grandmother treat her step-mother, that's why she's such an insolent terror to her because the other women egg her on/approve of her bad behaviour towards her. The husband is fine to prioritise Lingling but giving her, her mother and his mother every bit he has to give while also not standing up for his current wife is definitely the wrong thing to do; she's right that she tried over and over again and they didn't even bother because they see her as inferior and they all want him back with his ex.
The fact it took a miscarriage to get his current wife to say enough is kind of heartbreaking, but to be expected in these kinds of dramas.

Yeah it seems with all these females in his life especially his domineering mother what chance did his new wife have. It was as though this passive/aggressive husband was counting on this latest failure as yet another disguised battle with his mother. His inability to leave home all be it his mother is both the poison he hates yet drinks everyday to stay little for her. What this guy needed was a father who was strong enough to rescue this son from his mother. But if you can't leave momma there is always plenty of other females waiting thinking that they and only they can rescue these little boys. And that's the delusional if not unhealed war we never won with our fathers as well. But once you are brave enough to face the truth of your life then and only then does the way appear for you to leave the seduction and curse of the past...
