I heard this album when it first came out at 14 years old on a road trip to VA, and it changed my life. I've been a huge fan for 26 years now--and it will never change. ATL forever. Return of the real shit.
Nowadays everyone says, I put it on this, that, my mama, on hood; but as far as "music", the first time I ever heard anyone say they were "putting something 'on' something" was on this song on KMG's verse at the 4:00 minute mark. Where he says, "Bam, there it is, put that on my kids." This was in 1994. Legendary shxt from Above the Law!
This is truly the BEST underground underrated album of all time! I was blasting this back I. The mid 90s. Now I am a 40 years old. Blasting it in my home with my 3 kids swimming and their friends. Oh ya, I am as white as they come, but F that, that don’t mean shit. This is the REAL shit and I hate to getting judged for it. I wish I can meet the crew. Greg, Kevin, and Arthur. Easy E was the start to it! RIP.
Legit, one of the best rap albums ever made. I spent quite a bit to get this on vinyl; still cranking this at 40yrs old too. Definitely check 187's album 'The Black Godfather' too, was made only few years ago. Same old sound 👍
I went to school with a lot of Crips in mid city LA. We had MS when they tagged on walls. I heard 18th Street is big time now. They were just a Street Gang when I knew them. A lot of crews hooked up drug sales. I was born 1976.
One of hip hops most underrated All time Classic Albums.
The beginning throws em off but the rest goes hard asf
I do agree
Really underrated
Unterschätzt? Finde ich überhaupt nicht. Grüße aus Deutschland

I asked the same thing. I know there’s a few skits on the album that came from the same movie but I r never been able to find it
Against the Wall
The intro.....what movie is that
I think Attica
It's called Against The Wall (1994)
It's called Against The Wall (1994)
D-Money
At the beginning of the song they have a skit from a movie (i think) What movie do they get the skit from ??
Against The Wall (1994) it came out the same year...and in "Black Superman" another skit from the movie is in the beginning as well
Yessir

What movie is the intro from
I put this up ther with The Chronic.. it low key may be even better. Dre is a NOT a better G Funk producer than Cold 187

Dre is great but he coudn't come close to the musical skills of Cold 187.
