I was that lonely kid in public school, extremely lonely. So, I completely disagree with people who say socialization only happens in public schools. Such a false statement. My oldest daughter went to public school for 3 years, and she is quite shy. My two youngest, ages 6 and 7, have not stepped one foot in a public school and they are social butterflies. All kids are different in regard to socialization. Thank you for this video, it was well put and much needed!

I agree!! The socialization kids get in public school is in my opinion not very healthy. Isn’t it crazy that society puts such pressure on public schooled children to be mature and act appropriately when they are surrounded by the same age of children for most parts of the day? HS kids get to be around so many different ages all the time and usually interact with a lot more adults so I find that HSers are generally more mature for their ages. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😊🌼

Thank you for this honest and simple message. I really don't want my children to socialize with many of these other children. And hearing you say, "it's ok not to be that social".

I have a few children that really have no desire to be overly social and they are wonderful people. Having the choice as parents of who your children socialize with (or not socialize with) is a great benefit of HS. Thanks for watching!😊🌼

It is a real concern for sure. However, there is a lot that can be done as I explain to keep you kids connected and connected to the type of friends that are right for them. Thanks for watching! 😊🌼
