I slept on the sofa in Khalids hotel room. Came over, from Oslo just to watch him race. We shared the same apartment just a few hundred meters from Bislet. Ended up running a 1500m in the B-heat. 3.46.15, a new personal best. Then watched his race.
Those were the days..we have nobody now in track after we owned it since the legendary Said Aouita..I remember in the 90s we were kings in the 5000m..in one race we would have several world class Moroccans runners: Khalid Skal, Khalid Boulami,Salah Hissou, Brahim Lahlafi,Jabbour, smail Sghir..crazy..what happened to us? somebody please tell me
