The issues with Crafting in Dungeon Quest.

  • Overall, I think crafting is a good addition to Dungeon Quest, but it might have created a lot of im-balancing issues with it.

    Making it easy is kinda the point. In mid-late game dungeons, ESPECIALLY the gap between BR and OO and VC to AT, the bosses and mobs get so hard that they're almost impossible to solo if you don't have pretty good gear from the earlier dungeon. In fact, AT is basically too hard to solo for the vast majority of players, even when they have decent gear from it. Adding these weapons can really smooth out these issues, which IMO is a good thing. The fact that these weapons are hard to obtain is another good thing, as early players can gradually collect materials for them as they play. It only seems like the materials take a long time to get because we're already done with everything else, and grinding for the weapon is very tedious.

      I do get that it can save you from suffering in later dungeons but when it comes for the earlier dungeons like the Underworld, Samurai Palace and Steampunk Sewers which are all way easier, if you get a craftable weapon, those dungeons become too easy.

      Before Gregg you were basically forced to get carried if you were solo as trying to reach the dmg requirements was impossible since your gear became useless as you alternate from insane to nightmare and not to mention the amount of gold you needed or the luck required to level up and get good gear while grinding for item the will become useless. But with Gregg you can easily go back and farm him in earlier dungeon if you choose to meet those requirements as well as giving you materials to craft a weapon the will make the process of level and saving gold way easier. I'm not the devs or someone who has worked on any games before but as I see it this helps with player retention as most players in dungeon quest that are new, are all solo players who cant get by without a carry. Even tho it does have end game players left out since the champions destiny will become irrelevant in once the new dungeon drops since it doesn't scale like the other previous versions of the sword.       tbh OO VC and AT was made for late game players at that time, like before the game was ALOT harder than right now due to the fact of garbage update right now when EIF/IF and IR/EIR absolutely destroying the game and it made everything in the game seemed so garbage. Back then dodging things actually requires skill but rn it became so easy that you can literally solo the last dungeon with ease and i dont think the game will last over 2 years if the garbage updates keep up like this

    They should add an "Dont spawn Greg" with an Icon indicating that it wont spawn in the lobby, because its an huge problem for carriers, carrying leechers and from what i see greg removes time of ur potions which sucks when ur grinding exp

      which is why there is a poll which asks the players if they want the potions be counted as per run or per hour

      @@kaminoyami5776 If they make it so that you get lots of runs for XP boost then I’d probably not mind and it will not matter if you speedrun or do the dungeon slowly as well it will take up the same

    The thing that they released the weapon just because they want to boost the current player to the near newest dungeon. In shortern, it is easier for new people to reach the new content and enjoy the game.

    Tbh the crafting is good rn, it may make it easy, but once u get to a certain lvl it get harder to lvl so I think the crafting idea was a good thing to add in

      I do think crafting is a good feature. I just don't like the idea of having a weapon with the pot of a samurai legendary being useable in Underworld Insane for example.

    I think its kinda fair because the weapon is above average and the drop is less this make it very fair

    I think the damage for the craftable is just right because realistically by the time you have enough materials, you will already be lvl 110 atleast. And only just have enough for the first one.

    this is just not true, i have the 160 weapon in 1 week of playing and im just now getting to enchanted forest and bosses are still 3 hits and mobs 2 hits its not as op as people think until level 200 craft for yokai but at that point most are plenty strong enough

    Tbh it doesn't ruin the aspect of Dungeon Quest difficulty cuz i mean in the beggining the dungeons r pretty soloable till Boss Raids and they wanted to avoid nerfing new dungeons by adding Gregg so if u beat him u can get higher lvl loot and keep playing but back then i abs hate people who say its so easy etc and those r just madmans who likes suffering and likes to be keep being 1 tap all attacks cuz back then it required good rng, getting carried, trade for items or just collect daily in order to progress further💀

    3:55 mages have been stronger in every dungeon, please I don't wanna listen about the mage and warriors being unbalanced because warrior's have a craftable feature

    To be honest, these weapons are cool but way to hard to get, so they either up greggs spawn rate or buff is material drops A LOT.

      What I could say is they up the drop rates of materials if the dungeon has a higher level requirement.

      I meant this is only temporary. I also did point out in the video mages are getting their craftable weapon in the future

      @@NatanShark09 but still some mages do 70q damage a skill with enhanced iner focus so they are likely to do 75 to 80 with god pot mage gear and level 230 plus

    The people here saying stuff like mage are always better than war are just stupid, mages and war has been pretty balanced, one class may be a tiny bit better but still really balanced apart from a few dungeons, war is better in canals and underworld, steampunk and mage in Pirate, desert and Volcanic, every other dungeon its pretty balanced but right now because of Crafting war is in pretty much every dungeon, but ignoring that its pretty balanced across all dungeons but in boss raids, war is x10000000 better by far, so for the people who are saying mage are way better in every dungeon just literly Shut up and get proof if you wanna wine about classes or just swap your class if the other one is soooo OP then.
