I have a CX3 that I purchased in '12. I ride on gravel & paved trails as well as get some great workouts on the hilly & rolling rural roads near home. It's light & fits easily on my rack & has travelled with me exploring new places. My bike gets regular maintenance tuneups; replacing tires from time to time & recently a new rear disc brake. Next year I'm considering upgrading to a new CX with new technology but keeping this one for guests that come and visit who would like to join me for a ride along our extensive rail trail system. Thanks for sharing your review.
I paid full price. It's a good bike, my only criticism is the lowest gear isn't low enough, and the highest gears are too high. I seldom use the second set and an easier climbing gear would be nice. I live in Wales and there are many hills here
Thank you for this!! Looking at buying one second hand and this was really helpful since it will be my first bike since I was a kid. Just looking for something to hop on a path and ride with my dog for her exercise lol
I use it to ride on the road and gravel trails in Austin. It has a setting for stiff setting and a cushion setting which is nice. I mostly use the cushion setting and it's very forgiving. I am not sure what it would be like for touring. Sorry : (

I purchased a GURU for $400, wanted to upgrade to wireless shifting and braking, bike shop told me $1000 dollars. I'm still using wires.
Nice bike!
I'm buying a used 1 tomorrow for $200. What size is that one
Scott great review. I currently have a caad 8 and can feel every bump. Would this be good for touring?
