    Have my test today, been practicing for about a month now. You probably saved my ass with the sudden break information.. wasn’t aware that locking tires is a fail. Thank you so much!

      Hi Vito, I hope you passed with flying colours. It would be great to know how it went and what feedback was given. Cheers and safe riding!

    Thanks for mapping it out. I have watched several real time examples but still did not understand the layout. Your explanation, particularly "view these cones as a wall" really helped make sense. Thanks.

    Thanks for the advice! I'm taking my test tomorrow and I'm really cramming for it cause the only available test booking was a week after starting practice. So yeah a little nervous but I really appreciate helping me know what to expect! Thanks!

      how'd you do? I'm in the same boat, no tests ever available, took the first one that popped up. Only been on the bike a couple weeks. My only real concern is a toe touch during the u-turns depending how tight they are.

    Hey Man
    I took a VISC and passed my skills test last year but found my bmw 1100r was to heavy for me and my license expired without a road test. So now I have to start over So I bought a HD trike. I did the skills test and failed the slalom between cones. I believe they measured my turning radius wrong and as a result didn’t set the cones far enough apart. I spoke with three examiners and got three different answers on how they measure T/R on a trike. To make matters worse I haven’t been able to get an official TR for my 2022 HD Tri-Glide Ultra. So I am capable of measuring it but want to be sure that I’m doing it right.
    Front wheel locked to the left.
    Mark the spot beside the right rear wheel
    Push the bike 180 deg.
    Mark the spot beside the right rear wheel.
    Measure between the two marks.
    The examiners I’ve talked with would have me put my front wheel on the beginning spot. Also they cannot or will not give me a cone distance to practice with.
    What to do?

    I am taking my test next week and so am practicing as much as I can. My motorcycle/scooter is automatic (300 cc). As I don't have a clutch, what else will the tester be looking for?
    Any advice you can give me to prepare would be really appreciated.

    I need to practice for my skill test and I'm missing the exact measurement of the cones field
    is anyone could send and schematic with those distance so I could prepare my self. I truly appreciate it!

    thanks a lot , what is the distance between weaving cones?

    • @WhiskyWebb
      @WhiskyWebb  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the turning circle of your bike but about 1.5 to 2 metres.

    Hy Mr. Webb ! I have a 230 Yamaha, do you have an idea of how much space between the cones i should practice with ?

    • @WhiskyWebb
      @WhiskyWebb  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Practice 2 bike lengths between the cones and when comfortable reduce to 1.5 times bike length. I think about 2m to 2.5m should be about right for that bike.

    How much is the distance in between the slalom cones?

    • @WhiskyWebb
      @WhiskyWebb  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the turning circle of you bike. I would practice with the cones 2 bike lengths apart and then reduce to 1.5 bike lengths as you improve. Best of luck!
