I’ve been slowly collecting cute, kitschy knickknacks I randomly find in stores, garage sales, or giveaway boxes/piles over the years (like hardshell vintage suitcases, ice cream measuring cups/bowls, old books, a terrarium music box) but this just makes me want to fully immerse myself back into it. I also really felt you when you said you were sentimental and will probably keep something forever if someone gives it to you.

Yes! Self-care is soooo so so important. When watching some of my old videos I could see how drained and sad I looked. I didn’t want to continue making content for contents sake and I took some time to myself. I feel soooo so so much better now and moving was definitely a big help. I can’t wait to have you and the other friends over for tea and my Kawaii bbq soon!

Do I like writing letters: I have 2 international penpals but we do everything digitally and it's been such a long time since I've written any long text by hand that I tend to get nervous and uncomfortable and tend to make too many mistakes. Emails are free and it's easy to attach files and put links in the text. But it doesn't have the same charm as a handwritten letter or card. I still have a lot of letters and cards from the early 2000's when my friend lived a year in Japan. I can't throw them away.
I save all my letters in a little box. I love handwritten letters, they always brighten my day. And I feel like it adds another level of intimacy to a friendship when you exchange letters and little gifts. But yes free and fast is always nice XD
