Lee is young Mr. Supot, Tay is the Director of Ministry of Education while Namtan (the girl who is tied up not the Namtaan in the 1st season) is the Director of the student affairs in the Ridtha high school. And also I think they developed the real serum that can remove the potential of the Gifted. They will try to fight Mr. Supot with that. But I think that new director of student affairs has her own hidden agendas what do you think guys? Hmmm...

My theory/predictions is similar to yours. And I was so happy that they had AJ and JJ come in first, idk why. Maybe bc I want them to have a bigger role this season. The three new students have yet to prove the type of characters they really are so I can't judge them fully yet. But I will say that I like Third the most so far out of the three bc he is strict, but he doesn't seem to have evil intentions. Even he was relieved that the gifted program was brought back. And the OG cast having a massive presence like that only being in the last part of the episode makes me even more excited on what's to come.

I love the drama and tension that is set up in this season. Time felt like he's going to be an interesting conflict to Pang because he want the system, while the girl Grace is probably going to be a great conflict to many people, especially Time because she has this anarchistic tendency to her character. Third would really be an interesting character. He is set up to have a rivalry with Time like Pang and Wave, but his status as student inspector would really make him more of a teacher's pet. I think the switching sides are going to be a common place in this season. Also, it's worth noting that the original creator of this story(who also co-direct some few episodes in the last season) made a cameo in this episode too as the teacher of class 6/8, or that's what the credit said anyway. I don't know which one lol.
As far as I‘m aware we don‘t have ‚gifted‘ classes in Germany, mostly because our whole school system is tiered. At the end of primary school at age 10 you get a ‚recommendation‘ for a secondary school type. There‘s three types of secondary schools, Hauptschule, Realschule and Gymnasium, wich allow for different levels of degrees (gymnasium being the highest level of degree). So instead of having ‚gifted‘ classes we literally get sent to different schools based on our performance-level. So basically we get sorted fairly early on. Anyone who is ‚gifted‘ beyond that, has the option of skipping grades, but very few people do because it‘s usually seen as more valuable to keep the social environment intact. Nowadays Germany as a whole is increasingly moving away from the tiered system and towards a more unified Scandinavian system though. That way, high performing students can help out and motivate lower performing ones. The average of the whole class tends to go up (even from the lower performing students) if the high performing students aren‘t separated out.

Hey!! I just found your channel.. I just want to answer your question. Here in the Philippines, I think almost all elementary to junior high school classes are ranked. Especially in the public school. When I got in junior high, I studied in a private school and the students who have higher grades are all put together in the first two classes/sections, while the rest were randomly assigned in other section/class. So this system is not much new to me. I just want to share 😅
Back for The gifted😄I think classes sorted by grade are pretty common, especially in Asian education system. It might be like you said, by grade of certain subject, or like in my teenage years, by your total score. We actually took seat according to our total score every time when we took our monthly exams, so one knew exactly your rank among almost 2000 students
I'm not the biggest fan of the new characters either, but maybe just because I was waiting for the old cast for most of the whole episode. I'm pretty sure I am going to come to like Time and Third, not so sure about Grace though... Why did he have to be called Third of all names though? I am currently rewatching Theory of Love, so that time in the secret room, my mind immediately went: Third just ran out, only that school inspector is still here. Actually in my collage we have class by the rank. But not for our main subjec, just like me, i was on math teacher department but i still need to learn english and arab language. So there we will learn in the different class, there will be A class for smartes and soon until class D, in every class we get different level to learn. So if you smart you need to learn more difficult think than the student on class D ... just share..
In my school (in Jamaica, so very much based on the English grammar school system), we certainly had ranked classes. It was to ensure the more gifted or independent-minded students were not bored or were appropriately stimulated; and, simultaneously allow the less gifted students to have the time and the pace they needed to learn the material. They are phasing that out though with mixed classes and equally mixed results. Personally, I don't mind it; but, I understand the stigma.
Well here in the Philippines some schools have rankings like that and also divided by class. Like of course thoses who are smart goes to the section A or also called as the "star section" and so on and so forth.
