A Tribute To Guru Balamuraligaaru- Narayanathe Namo-Sri Annamacharya- Behag:நாராயணதே நமோ-பிஹாக்

Guruji Dr M Balmurai Gaaru was an extraordinary tunesmith in two respects:
a) He tuned the compositions of other great souls, choosing the most suitable ragas and talams, completely in alignment with the meaning and emotive appeal of the sahityams.
b) He gave them the best tunes - rather selflessly - not keeping them for his own compositions. In that sense, Gurugaaru is a true Thyaga Murthi. One can add without any hesitation that his tunes, in fact, resurrected to life a few compositions - which were almost dead and fossilized.
Presenting here, a composition on Lord Sri Venkateswara by Sri Annamacharya, tuned by our Gurugaaru in mellifluous Behag. This is a small yet sincere tribute to our Guru and a very humble offering at the Holy Feet of Lord Sri Venkateswara on this Aashaada Ekadasi day - 17th July,2024.
