Gerbings heated socks, pants, gloves and jacket. I live in Pennsylvania. I ride all winter. Down in single digits. Don't waste your money on anything else. Gerbings make liners for pants, gloves and jackets. They also make full pants jackets and gloves. I have both kinds. 4 complete sets in total..

I wear my leather jacket with the liner and thermal underwear and a pair of wool socks, full face helmet so that part of my body doesn't get cold. It's my fingers on top that gets cold. so I have thought about the Gerber heated gloves, I think that's all I need,.
    Good video!

I swear by my Gerbing heated gear. I have the whole set including the pants and socks (the insoles suck, don't waste your time). Makes 4 season riding here in NC very possible. I've ridden in temps in the lower 20's and I was plenty warm. I seriously recommend the wireless controller. You can mount the controller anywhere easily accessible and change temps on the fly.

I used to layer up, at stops would have to unload some of those, them gear back up. Heated gear would be a better alternative. Unfortunately being in Ohio now I just wait for warmer weather. As I write this, currently 16...and that's a warm up.
Neat ride you took, familiar sights😀🏍

I was just looking at pictures the other day of when you and I did a ride up tomorrow mountain which I think might’ve been New Year’s Day and it was really cold that day If I recall

@@YogisCycleService Yeah, I remember that ride. Always one of my favorite places to go (great restaurant near there too), but loved the road, ride and view along with the company that day. NC could pretty much (with exceptions) ride all year. Central Ohio...not so much.

Yogi, thanks for clearing up the winter gear with the demo. I'm guessing you are a "yinzer". A couple of times during the video I thought I was watching Pittsburg Dad. That's meant as a compliment! I'm in the Poconos now, but spent lots of time in the burg when going to school at CAL U. Happy Riding!

Did the gloves work better when you figured out the wiring or did your finger tips still get cold?

Gloves are the bomb, I just had them plugged in wrong but once I got that sorted out from their website it all came together. This season I added the pants, next year I want the socks. It made this winter very comfortable. This Friday I am rolling to Daytona and its supposed to be a chilly wet weekend. Last year the gloves and vest kept me comfortable despite similar weather conditions so I am going to do the same this this weekend. Highly recommended

@@YogisCycleService that's awesome, I'm glad the gear is working out for you. I've seen mixed reactions about the insoles online, just a heads up.
I'm in the PnW and stepping my winter riding gear up finally.
Ride safe and enjoy upcoming better weather!

I'm just still confused if I can leave the higher powered fuse in if running less amount of gear ? Like if I start off with 20v fuse w/ pants, jacket, gloves and socks but then it warms slightly and I just run say the jacket and gloves do I have to change the fuse every time ?!

    • @YogisCycleService

I was going to comment that real bikers don't...I mean I have read the helmet stickers at bike shops, on helmets and online. After reading enough to fill the pages of War and Peace, I have come to the conclusion that Real Bikers do not do anything, or they do everything.
I will say that there are a few things that can help if you need heated gear.
Here is a list of No, I do not need heated gear.
    1) I park my bike in October and pull it back out in April
    2) I do not own rain gear yes, insinuating that you do not bad weather ride
    3) I lived in Alaska for 40 years and 25 degrees F is a heat wave
    4) The first digit of your age is 3 or lower
    5) Your long trips are less than a tank full both ways
    6) Your Zip Code is 33040
    7) Your day job is working in a meat locker
    8) Your bike has more fairings that a Formula 1 car
    9) You go ice fishing
    10) I am a tough guy and know that like frozen hamburger, I will defrost.
