I have currently booked the Tata Harrier XZA+. 7 Seats are not my requirement but second row recline adjustment can be a useful feature.
Would you still recommend the Safari over harrier? Considering the other added features that Safari is offering. Is it worth paying the extra 1.6/1.8 lakhs (on-road difference).
My biggest concern is the added weight and dimension change. How does it affect the driving dynamics when compared to the harrier. For instance, does this cause lower end lag and Body roll?

Honestly they should’ve called it a Harrier plus. At least 190bhp and 4x4 are a must to live up to Safari’s legacy

To be very frank I didn't like this harrier plus to be batched as Safari...
Safari is something which has a DNA of dominance over the roads...
But Tata needs to work on after sale service also bringing car and not giving service will not ho long way !!

Hello Vikas Ji, I would like to give my views on steering. As you said, that its heavy at slow speeds and the moment the car speeds up, it becomes light. Thats because its having a hydraulic steering which is not very well tuned to static or parking speeds. The moment the vehicle takes up speed, rolling resistance is reduced and hence you feel a bit lighter. However, in electric power steering, which most of the cars have, they are tuned to give maximum output at static and parking speeds because the load acting at those conditions are always higher. And as you said, the moment it goes up on speed, the steering gets slightly heavier so as to give a good on center feel or stiff feel at high speeds. In hydraulic power steering, you don't have that much leverage to tune to that much extent.
I have subscribed your channel, and love to see your videos as you review. Great going. You can request Tata to add an electric power steering to it, it will resolve all these steering issues for sure.

It all comes down to sales and revenue. The 4x4 market is too tiny in India. They have a company to sustain so they will do whatever the market demands.
Very very gud review the name might hit back badly with Tata because Safari fanboys might get hurt and shun because this is pseudo Safari . Tata should not have played with Safari fanboys hope it sells and Tata develops it s dealership . It’s a 5 dearer car made in 7 seater with no boot space
