    No wonder you love the Bafetti and the Oakwood: the two back to back near the end are head and shoulders above any of the rest (I'll ignore the single-row instruments - they're almost a different species!)

    Hohner Pokerwork is definitely my favourite here, both their tone and appearance are very charming, I also really like the Albrecht One-Row. your playing was ace btw

    Great to hear you again! Lovely playing, but that Oakwood - still the finest I've ever, ever heard. The articulation is simply amazing - wonderfully played, but it must be a great thrill to know that the 'box will respond!

    Impressed with many here. The Oakwood's articulation as previous commenter marsvitor2 said is quite nice. I really like that old subtle mussette on the Hohner Viktoria. You (Anahata) have a great touch and sympatico with that box and its sound, though not "The Best" ... it just has that quality that makes it special. Also fond of the swing tuning on the #5 Baffetti and the warm sound of the Hohner melodeons.

      +Keith Archer My name is Anahata! See www.maryanahata.co.uk and www.treewind.co.uk for CDs of my music (with Mary Humphreys) and some I've recorded of other musicians and singers. But you'll find most solo melodeon stuff on my TH-cam channel.

    Amazing! Brilliant! Is it possible to get a score for piano?

    • @anahatamelodeon
      @anahatamelodeon  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The melody is widely available, e.g. at www.folktunefinder.com/tunes/27791 (look for other versions there too) For piano, you'll have to make up your own accompaniment.

    Lovely video. I must caution you though, that thirteen is considered unlucky by some, so I'd advise the purchase of another box, which will give the equivalent of 2 sevens. ;>)

    • @anahatamelodeon
      @anahatamelodeon  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Three sevens would be even more magic. I'd better go shopping. I may be some time...
      Seriously, I didn't actually know how many I had in the house until I made that video. There's a Saratovskaya Garmoshka grinning at me from the shelf too, but I can't handle all the pushes and pulls being the opposite way round...

  • @filbertthedilbert1

    I thought you might play them all at once like Roland Kirk with his horns.

    • @anahatamelodeon

    • @anahatamelodeon
      @anahatamelodeon  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They appear on eBay sometimes. Best to try some of the repairers/sellers in the list here: forum.melodeon.net/index.php/page,shops_repairers.html - Acorn Instruments, Lester Bailey, Mike Rowbotham, Rees Wesson, Theo Gibb and Martyn White are all recommended (I know them personally) if you are in the UK. From that link, you could join the forum and read or post in the "Buy and Sell" section too.
