At 53 years old and hardened by life, I messaged my father after listening to this cover and told him I loved him and mum - that's the power of music - thank you HSCC
I didn't get that chance ( but you should have called him). My Dad passed away 52 years ago when I had just turned 16. He died 4 days after open heart surgery which was still rather experimental back then. The last time I saw him he couldn't speak and I guess noticed I was scared, he squezzed my hand as hard as he could. We never got to say the things we should have to each other. He was a hardened WWII infantryman and 30 years later I discovered he was on four ampibious landings including Anzio, part of the 45th division which saw over 500 days in active combat. He never said a word about it. As a tribute to him I recently got the Army to award him the Bronze Star with lots of help. His passing ripped a hole in me that has NEVER healed. I love you and only wish I could have told you in your living years. I feel as if this song was written for me.

I am in Belgium and my native language is French. I agree with you a thousand times, I add an excellent mix respecting the voices, the instruments and the song 😉
Final chorus with 5 backing vocalists truly supporting Danny. Seemed effortless for the 5 to assume a humble role after so many great fronting efforts previously. This is a very touching song, and it moved me to tears with Danny's interpretation. Well done to all involved!

Holy Crap, such a beautiful song sung to perfection by Danny Lopresto - so good you are back singing better than ever
On the back of what Jay said below, another subtle but really important aspect is Danny's diction. Not over the top, but focused on clarity. This is a man who sees a song as a means of communicating, which as a precious thing in itself, too often overlooked. Speaks to the quality of the team overall.
Phil 🙏🙏
I am in Belgium and my native language is French. I agree with you a thousand times, I add an excellent mix respecting the voices, the instruments and the song 😉
@@Bernardsam64 Danny is amazing for sure, then again so is the whole band from start to finish
Goosebumps on that final chorus! Great vocals- lead and background! Thanks so much!
Simply perfect 👌
Danny can sing the phonebook, Very universal voice👏👏
Close your eyes and you’d think it was Carrack singing it and the Rutherford sound from the guitar is faultless!
I absolutely love this!!!!
Final chorus with 5 backing vocalists truly supporting Danny. Seemed effortless for the 5 to assume a humble role after so many great fronting efforts previously. This is a very touching song, and it moved me to tears with Danny's interpretation. Well done to all involved!
Excellent 👍
Amazing cover to one amazing song, you are the best
so true
Paul Carrick no 2 absolutely brilliant such a great band love all of you.❤
Speechless...simply speechless. A more evocative song does not exist.
Another 80's favorite and outstanding rendition. I love when others do remakes and do it so well, it sounds like the original. All the accompaniment., vocals, down to the rhythms and tempo. Grat job guys! (and gals 🙂 )
I do love when Danny is singing, he is so good, talented with sometimes a beautiful smile at the end thank you to him and all in this band, you are fantastic 💜💜💜💜👏🎶🎵🎤
Goose bumps, they make me relive my youth ❤️
Great lyrics, great music by a great band. Thanks HSCC.
From Kiss to George Michael, Foreigner, there is nothing Danny cannot sing. This is BRILLIANT!
He is good!
There is absolutely no reason anyone on earth should be that gifted. I'm shocked he's not more popular
Totally agree. Glad he shares his gift.
True
Covers are not brilliant. It's much easier to copy what some other great singer created. Creating one yourself, however, is not. He isn't diverging from the original much.
Amazing group of artists! Perfect Mix! Love HSSC:)
Man, every single element of this performance and production was as good as it possible could have been. I didn't know that Danny had that particular voice within him. Fantastic!
This is an amazing collection of talent. Lead by Danny and the backing vocals Kat, Bel, Jordan and Brad a excellent leads themselves. All the members are incredibly talented. Makes me proud to be here in Adelaide, South Australia with such exceptional talent.
For me, this is his best. Just beautiful Danny and the whole gang. 👏👏👏👏👏
In the last 15 months i've lost my 3 aunties, an uncle, and my dear father. Hold your loved ones tight everybody and always let them know just how much you love and appreciate them because mark my words the time goes quicker than you could possibly imagine.
Lots of love HSCC. Beautifuly performed 😘
I personally couldn't agree more. You have endured.
