I went back and checked, every lyric spoiler video before had the instrumental of the title track, so I think it's safe to say it's probably not the intro. That drop is about to melt faces, this makes me seriously excited for the song.

The lyric spoilers are always the title track! I've only ever seen the lyric spoilers since Scream era, but all of them were the pre-chorus. So the amazing drop is probably the start of the chorus
I'm actually surprised that there aren't any guitars in this part of the instrumental. I'm very curious on when the guitars are gonna come in, or is this gonna be their first title track without any rock influence in it.

The piano piece reminded me of symphonic black metal music... its sound so haunting
I don't immediately recognise the piano from anywhere, but it's giving me big Rachmaninov or even Chopin vibes. It reminds me a bit of (the moderately obscure progressive rock band) Renaissance's work, where they base some of their songs on classical piano pieces. Also totally agree with your thoughts about music being in danger of losing some of its "umph" if you try too hard to make it deeper or more meaningful than "just" a pop song. Dreamcatcher (shoutout to Leez and Ollounder as always) do it really well. Red Velvet's "One of These Nights" is also a good example I feel, at least insofar as the music video was indeed about the Sewol ferry incident.
The Piano portion, the unsettling feeling gives me the chills. I straight up think " this is so Dreamcatcher!"
When the piano came in I was so surprised. I was very intrigued as it sounds like they are blending classical music with their usual sound and I'm so here for it. But yes this is a trilogy and I'm interested to see what the story is as well in the storyline spoiler on thursday 🤔. Very excited for this cb as the inst in the lyrics spoiler is so good. I do believe it's the inst of Maison as I don't thibk they ever used the intro for the lyric spoiler. They do use the intro for the MV teaser tho so maybe they will do so on Friday 🤔
They only do one MV teaser this one, so like BEcause, it will use the song snippet instead of intro.
Yes classical but it also gives me vague fleshgod apocalypse vibes. Like the super cinematic creepy classical buildup to some powerful riffs and drums...
I mean I know it's not that but still has that sort of vibe (like when the Odd Eye teaser (and intro) gave me Florence and the machine vibes.
You said exactly what I was thinking, it's such a great thing that Dreamcatcher uses the popularity they have to tackle all different kinds of very important topics.
I felt the same way when (first) listening to the dystopia series and then especially Odd Eye. The topic this song tackles, is not "I don't like what you are saying" or "I will stop you from saying this" what are more common topics. It is about the problems social media as a whole introduces and the realization that it just... is what it is. And that this is probably not going to change because of the nature of people themselves. Which (by my knowledge) is a less common topic but at least equally important because it the approach form the "surface" to the "core".
I hope this mv and series will also add such depth to the meaning of the song and this lyric-spoiler gives me good hope for that.

YES. Felt that too, found a regular piano rendition the phantom of the opera and there are definitely similarities. th-cam.com/video/tEuCZlB9E-Q/w-d-xo.html really interesting how Dreamcatcher arranges it tho. Also, the phantom song fits with the vibe of the released lyrics and song surprisingly well.
