“The only way to defend is to start giving up more material, and that’s just no way to live” - I completely share this sentiment 😂👏🏽👏🏽
i bet agad would give up/sacrifice his dog/wife for some "compensation"
#suggestion Garry Kasparov vs Gennadji Timoscenko 1981. 19 year old Kasparov plays a great game with the white pieces involving b4 as a winning move at one point.
>Agad sees *b4* mentioned
>Agad immediately makes a video
He should make a b4 video series #suggestion
Bro, you spoiled it.
#suggestion
Wei yi looks like a badass villain
Badass Chess Player for sure
He does violate over the board
He's hatching a plan to become world no.1
Aged well
@@user-uc7qb1su4e you reminded me of it lmao
Agadmater is possessed by the souls of all the deceased grandmasters throughout history. He's such a pleasure to listen to. I dont play chess, yet i love this channel.
"The sooner we have a completely new game the more we enjoy the game" . Agad 2023
After Move 8 an entirely new Game ‘
And the sooner we have a completely new video the more we enjoy the video.
"it's how it works"
The Bishop at 5:59: I've mastered the ability of standing so incredibly still... that I become invisible to the "calculation"
@Enzenmetsuke Ironically, he said the bishop does a fine job covering all these squares, while it hasn't moved the whole game
The Dave Bautista of chess pieces.
200+ ELO diff with white, perfect conditions for an Immortal haha watching this game live was beautiful
Very true
Haha
I think he was smurfing.
Tal would be back alive seeing how Wei Yi played this wild attack.
This was an amazing game! More Wei Yin videos!!
Wei Yi is motivated after his fellow countryman Ding became a world champion. Wei and Yangyi are up there top 20 elo.
8:50 White Qxf7 is also viable. If black Qxf7 back then Bc8#; if black Qh8 keep guarding c8 square, then Qg7 to get a free queen; if black Nd7 to protect the c8 square by its rook and queen, then white Qxd7. black will def be one piece down and lose the game.
I saw that too and I believe it's a faster win than the move suggested by Agadmator
The bishop is pinned
why was this an immortal though?
seems like a good but reasonably normal game honestly
8:49 pause the video moment, wouldn't offering a queen on F7 be more classy?
It's a good move, I found it too but I guess it's not forcing, black queen can go to h8
It's not good, because after queen takes F7 the bishop is pinned and cannot deliver checkmate
@@antonpresura3728 right!
Funny how Wei Yi ‘s position after moving his King worked rather well for him f3 square so convenient for Yi’s King seemed like the kind of Game where you would think White would have difficulties with Black attacking but no such offense occurred meanwhile White became the aggressor Awesome Game Wei Yi definitely seems the type to know how to improvise with positive results
at 8:58 could you also play queen captures f7? I suppose the black queen could go to h8 but if queen captures queen, black loses.
Thanks for saying Lou correctly. When one sees "ou" in Pinyin, one should think of the letter O, the way it is pronounced.
So many of these games occur when a knight is still on its initial square. I dont understand why people do this.
#suggestion can you do like a kasparov saga ?
Omg I somehow knew Wei Yi would play G4 before I saw it on the board, lol. I was thinking "what's most rad thing he could do here?"
the fact that after so many times the queens gambit declined has been played there are still immortal games, nothing fascinates me more about chess
I'm glad to see him back.
Awesome fun and immortal game!!!!
"it's not something you see very often."
That's because you're not reviewing my games Antonio.
Agad is a huge Wei Yi stan and I'm here for it
Whats the definition for an immortal game?
🔥🔥🔥
for the pause moment, why not dark bishop to D8 to block the path of the black queen? next move is white bishop to C8 checkmate?
Isn't Qxf7 better for the pause the game moment?
Those were some bold moves being played. "Clash Carnage" is how I would title it.
the engine actually gives Ke2 as the best move in the pause the video moment
I have to try that pawn g4 trick sometime so that I can be up a knight. Cool trick 😁
Some positions were beautiful.
Wow. Awesome
Truly a bishop pair from hell
glad to see Wei Yi brillancies again what happening to him he was considered the greatest promise of china
Ive never seen such a useless rook.
Why he never developed his knight and left it there on b8 to block his rook really pissed me off.😂
It's amazing that a 2482 Elo player doesn't know the basic opening principle of developing your Knights out early. Because the b8 Knight never moved, he essentially was down a Knight AND a Rook for the entire game.
@@bradleywalker8642 yeah I'm just a lowly 1600 player and I was banging my head against the wall trying to figure it out. He had so many chance to SAFELY develop his knight.
Fox the layout size. It sucks when I turn it sideways on the phone
#suggestion remake the old video! that game is worth more explanations. We would enjoy a better version of Wei Yi's Original Immortal Game.
The definition of a wild game
8:33 i like Bd8 in this position. Is that not also winning?
yeah i was thinking this? Cant really think of anything stopping that mate?
Sad rook on a8, sad knight on b8, sad queen on h8 lol
Wei Yi looking sharp AF
He da real wesley
Anyone else after the video try to copy the game online forget the opening in 3 and get mated in 10?
Man. One of black's knights and rooks didn't even get a chance to come into the game.
"And thats no way to live" 9:29 😂😂😂😂 you crack me up man
8:38 Doesn't bishop to D8 just win on the spot? It blocks the queen and immediately threatens checkmate on C8
I think Qxc7 would've been better to show off at the end
I think that Bd8 is the solution
Wei Yi's Evergreen game 🙏🙏

9:22 "The only way to defend is to start giving up more material, and that's just no way to live."
You *SAID* it, AGAD! haha
7:18 Black should've played B×Bf1 followed by Be2+ Kg2 Q--, maybe Qc3 or wherever. Black had a chance at a free Bishop and didn't take it.
8:33, why bd8 is a bad move. Threatens mate in 1
Antonio is right... Watching GM's play end game moves in a game in which the beginning moves resemble so many of my crazy blitz games is a true pleasure. Lol.
8:36 what is the drawback of Qxf7?
In the pause the video moment, I found Qxf7. Is this a bad move? If black Queen recaptures the sacrificed white Queen, then Bc8 checkmate. If black Queen instead retreats to h8, then white Queen to e6, preparing Qc8. To prevent this black must either block with knight and lose that piece, or black Queen must capture on c8 then it's bc8 checkmate
The bishop is sadly pinned
Black lost because of his knight stuck in its starting point from the beginning of the game and imprisoning his rook. This shows the mportance of developing your knights as early as possible.
Weirdest positional game I 've ever seen.
A bloodbath!! I love it!!/👏😁😁
I wonder why not move queen to c7 at 8:18 in the first place instead of bishop to c7.
I prefer Wei Yi's ending over Bf4 to be honest. It's so poetic how he brings a _queen_ into zugzwang!
an other one of excellent move there Bd8
me : may be castling for king safety...
Wei Yi : what is that? What re u talking about?
Awesome video. I wanna know what is your favourite piece on the chessboard :D
Games involving Bishop pair from hell are satisfying to watch
He literally doesn't care
At 8:35 isn't queen take pawn on f7 also winning? Black can't take the white queen since he gets mated
The other one is the immortal
I think Wei Yi just destroyed his opponent completely …
what is wrong with Bishop d8 in the last pause the video moment which cut off the queen and bishop c8 will be checkmate.
Nd7
Because then the knight moves to D7 and you don't have BC8#, plus the knight opens a double attack on the bishop on D8, if you play BxD7 and then R×D8 and white is down the exchange and gave up the bishop pair
got it ty
hmm, not really immortal.
second immorTAL
FINALLY MORE WEI YI
The player with black flat out played the entire game down two pieces. He never touched his queen side knight and rook. In the end he could not even get them into play, They were effectively locked in. Had that black knight even moved once, his passive rook would have at least kept white's queen of his back rank.
True !
Buddy never stood a chance
The double bishop assassination.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
@8:52 why not Qxf7
Qxf7 Qxf7 and the Bishop is pinned and can't deliver checkmate
Suppose you have only one knight on the chess board. Knight can be either black or white. You have to step on every square in 64 moves. Means that, you have to go on every square only at once.
Please make a video on how you can do that.
Tf are saying?

Had to watch it twice.. I do I did

Tal moves
Stunning game!
How do u guys print out chess positions? Or does no one do this anymore 😳🙏🧐
Screenshot or print screen, the old fashioned way
At 8:15
There is a forced checkmate. Bc8, Bc7, then Qa3 from white. Why did he move Kg3?
Sadly, Qa3 is not checkmate in your line : it is met by the very subtle... Kxa3
@@nephandi2316😂😂
Nice
At the pause the video minute, what about Bd8?
If then Bd8 then Nd7 and black prolongs the game...note that Bd8 was only successful because it was a tempo with a check...otherwise it wouldn't work
I mean, the win would be more impressive if it wasn't against someone 200 points below him
9:06 why not qd8? Can anyone explain how it's not a forced queen trade that would be specular move
Black can play Qxd8 and then after Bxd8, Nd7! saves Black. Mate is prevented and the pieces are now free.
After the queen trade black can play Kb7 and white is just down the exchange am I missing something?
If you do queen exchange then black will play Kb7 and there's no mate
Thank You for the awesome chess videos, Antonio. They always improve my game 👑 I am King Pawn ♟️

I have seen a comment in one of your posts. Some people wrote that gukesh is the highest rated chess player among indian players after vishy anand. Actually many people are not aware of harikrishna who reached 2770. Gukesh is in dazzling form he will surely cross 2770 and even cross 2800 in future.
Comment refers to current ratings, not Peak rating

Hello everyone ❤

And the award for most useless knight and rook ever goes to Lou Yiping in this game. Totally crushing.
Some games are art, like a perfect song with multiple notes/moves or a sculpture that deserves to stand the test of time......, thank you for sharing it agad :)
Chinese school of chess is really interesting .. since Ding Liren is the current worls champion
