When the bikes are 37+ Year old they tend to have their own personality depending on how the engine has been tuned etc, the RD for Sale also had some work done on its exhaust, hence that may be one of the reasons. But again these are individual Mechanical creatures that have their own personality.
It may be illegal to buy a bike as old as this. Registration , Insurance may not be possible. It was a great bike. I used to have two. Two strokes are mostly gone. KTM may be bringing some 2 stroke bikes soon. Yamaha should try and bring it back, in 2 strokes twins. I am sure they can beat the pollution concerns.
2 strokes are never going to return as production models despite patents, efficiency and pollution control being much improved than what it was. A few companies still make 2 stroke engines, maybe Aprilia and Rotax and possibly some more.
@@Claystone333 I think KTM too. If they meet the pollution norms they just might make a come back. Except that the electric vehicles will dampen the demand with much better torque. In any case they need a sizeable sale to justify an affordable price. So chances are dim but who can tell future.
So is the one of those bikes that are parked outside that church at Marine lines ? Next Soda water bottle agiyari? .... I have also seen a yellow coloured one, more on the lines of the Kenny Roberts yellow graphic with a two piece cafe styled handlebar....
1984?? they stopped making the RD350 in 1975, and even the later air cooled RD was a 400cc and nolonger produced after 1979, so the only RD350 in 1984 was a liquid cooled RD 350 LC, and that is not one of those awesome "water bottles" 🙄.
@@waynesaldanha361 where did they get all the parts in the 80's to launch another RD350? did they make their own parts, like with the Royal Enfield? because Yamaha wasn't making any, isn't that fraud lol 😆, sorry I suppose they would still run fine for a while.
@@simonallan9941 nope from 1983 to 1986 all the bikes were CKD's made in japan there was no fraud , the crankcase for the LC , RZ the banshee are all the same , you think they couldn't just manufacture parts ?

I bought a new RD 350 in 1987 & rode it for 5 years till 1992. I would get mileage between 25 to 28 kmpl. Sold it for Rs. 15,000/- to a neighbour.
I remember getting an opportunity to purchase an RD 350 for 14000/- unfortunately l was in college with a pocket money of 150 per month.

One question, I saw both the videos , both RDs sound great but the previous one had different sound, whats the difference if you could explain

The bike is 100% road legal. The papers are in place. There are many people who ride their 25yr old RX 100's to work as well.

@@simonallan9941 no it was the same rd350B detuned to around 30 hp and drum brakes from the RD200

Those aftermarket exhausts sound terrible.
I personally loved the exhaust note this bike makes.
You can take out the mufflers from the exhausts and it sounds great but it is a bit loud 😅
