Yaaaay - At 1:20 you can see my home :o) I´ve done those 2 legs many many times, both on the Dash7´s back when they were the workhorse, and now on the 8´s.. last one was yesterday from Kangerlussuaq on the same flight GL551. It´s going to be strange not doing the kangerlussuaq leg, at the end of November this year when the "new" airport opens up for direct flights to Denmark.
That’s fantastic! You’re very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world, you country is definitely a place I want to see more of! The new airport terminal is looking amazing. 😁
@@WorldWide_Dom It truly is a stunningly beautifull place up here. The new terminal opened about 2 weeks ago, so now all domestic flights runs from that. But it still isn´t completly finished yet. Apron wasn´t approved for operations just yet, so its by bus to and from the "old" apron untill it gets all the stamps.
What a beautiful sunrise and the scenery was stunning. Another great video, Dom….and thanks for the explanation about the free business class fare. Very interesting 😊
Incredible video. The views of Greenland from the air are stunning and made me feel quite emotional. I think you should definitely have some merchandise- as you love coffee so much how about a WorldWide Dom reusable coffee cup?
Thanks It is such an underrated place to visit, I'm definitely going to be going back! You know I didn't think of that, i was think of a pin or something, Great idea, thank you. 😁
Interesting video, though very familiar, since living in North Greenland 1981-82 and in Nuuk 1985-87. At that time most of my flights was in Dash 7 between then US Airforce "Bluie West 8" (Kangerlussuaq), Nuuk, and Bluie West 1 (then the civilian Narssassuaq) and in Sikorsky S-61 (en-og-tress as it was called) or Bell 212. Once flew a 212 from Qasigiannguit south of Illulisat up to Marmorilik, 300 m above ground, independent if at sea level or over 2000 m high mountains, A real rollercoaster, the crew being Swedish ex-military chopper crew. Though I wonder, do the hotel in Bluie West 8 still have the signs "Do not smoke in bed, the ash that falls might be your own!". Not as visible up in the main hotel, but defenely in the two annexes, Sheraton and Hilton.
Greatt video, thanks! Yes winter maintenance is a big thing at the northern airports, can imagine it's on an other level in Greenland. Finavia in Finland calls it "snowhow" :)
I expirenced the most turbulence ever om a dash 8 Flight from ilulissat to kangerlussuaq. It felt like being in a todlers toy, them holding it at the tail and swinging it up and down. Several other passengers passed out, but the view was beautiful. Love Greenland
I think cards and stickers are a great idea to promote your channel. I wonder how many people have an Air Greenland t-shirt for example and endorsed by Worldwide Dom?
Merchandise a good idea, even a sticker! I now understand the explanation of the business class ticket, a good find ! It does look such a nice airline, how does it compare to Logainair out of curiosity?
On the merch idea check how many of your subscriber base is from outside the UK. Exporting anything abroad can be tricky these days and for extreme examples like me (Colombia) any useful shipping is going to be prohibitive. A lot of merch offered by channels is pretty lame and poor quality - think cheap baggage tags or t-shirts with catch phrases on - but if you have ideas for something better it might work.
What do you think of Air Greenlands strange business class offering?
Well for a dash 8-200 it’s fine but there’s pretty much no point for business class…
*_All_* the seats on the Dash 8-200 are business class because it's an awesome plane!🥰
Stickers and small merch would definitely be a good idea! Something I wish we did more of in the UK relative to other countries.
We'll as many people have agreed with your view I am now putting a lot of effort into working on it! Here is hoping we will have something soon. 😁

Try Wideroe from Norway next? Kinda the same model of airline, connecting small rural villages all over Norway
Nice video.👍 Maybe you can give out Tunnocks bars with your face printed on them, that would be cool.😁
Coffee and a Tunnock's Caramel for the win LOL
