The cartoon show 'The Real Ghostbusters' followed on immediately after the storyline of the movie 'Ghostbusters 2'. In the first episode, the busters threw their ectoplasm covered coveralls into the laundry basket where the supernatural goo manifested ghostly versions of the Ghostbusters to fill their discarded clothes. Then the spooky Ghostbuster clones ran wild in the city causing all sorts of chaos and making people think that the Ghost Busters had gone bad. The heroes eventually defeated the apparitions and proved themselves to be "The Real Ghostbusters".
So the story is that there was an older live action show from Filmation called Ghostbusters that had absolutely no relation to the movie we know, and the film was allowed to license the name from the show for about $600000. After it became a massive hit, but because the licensing deal didn’t include future projects, Filmation capitalized on it by making a cartoon titled Ghostbusters, but was in fact based on their original series. In response, Columbia titled their cartoon The Real Ghostbusters, almost as a direct insult. Needless to say, children went for the more popular show.
Not bad for a game made on Shoot Em Up Construction Kit. 😏
What is that?
S.E.U.C.K is an old Amiga program which let you make your own basic games.
The very crude graphics of this Ghostbusters arcade game reminds me of it.
It ain't real without Winston 😅. But seriously, it's not too bad of a game
The guy that was blue in the game by Hal lab?
@ikagura new Ghostbusters 2, thanks
@@MrVariant Yeah, I need to try that game because I heard it was good (unlike that infamy on the NES that AVGN played).
The real? What? There are false ones?
