This is absolutely not an open source building plan if I have to pay $19.95 for the plans.

It's not open source if you charge for the plans. Please fix the title.

They charge money for the plans??😂 but honestly any competent adult could throw this together off the video.

This looks GREAT! I love the focus on durability, urbanite-appeasing aesthetics, maintaining aerobic breakdown, and keeping it rodent free. Thanks for sharing, and explaining it so well. I'm curious if you've found the rodents nibble through the hardware cloth over time... or if that as a material has held up well.

I'd love to see the plans. I'm in Baltimore, and could really use a large scale composting plan.

About hardware cloth: 19G 1/2" is for rats, but mice can get through. 24G 1/4" is for mice, bit rats can gnaw through the narrower wire. What to do to prevent both? Doubling up is $$$!

Great for where I am in Asia as termites won't be able to destroy the timber but with this base worms can't get in either. They will need to be added to the compost every now and again. I'll modify the base to allow them to get it.

The website is down now. Is there any way to get the plans? I'd like to try and build this with volunteers for a local CSA. Much thanks!

The link above works now. But it's not open source of you need to pay for the plans.

I thought compost bins needed to rest on the soil. Do you have new information on this? I imagine your bins are working or you would not have posted this! Do you know if these could be made without the pavers, just the hardware wire on the bottom?

This is purely for worm access. If you put your own in that will help resolve that issue
