In 2018, as a first year starter, LSU won a NY6 bowl game, played 8 ranked on ranked games, (5-3 but should’ve been 6-2 if not for the BS that went down in that historic game in College Station, a legit robbing occurred], 5 of those being top 10 matchups, where they were Burrow was 4-1. 3300 total yards, 23 total TDs w/ only 5 INTs … at the time that was light years ahead of the awful stats produced by lsu QBs and style of play in the later Miles era. Lsu was used to scoring around 45-50 total TDs a year and winning. With defense and running the ball, 2019 was just so good, it made any other season look like chopped liver, understandably.
