Just thought of playing this piece on the buzuki or preferably mandocello.. should have guessed it wasn't an original idea. It's brilliant, the way you play it, and the instrument too.
I am fascinated by the instrument. Exactly as I thought it should be. The mandolin sounds too plastic and boxy, the bouzouki a little too big and "Irish-Greek", the madocello too traditional, and the guitar is a guitar. This instrument is a combination of all four instruments, with the fact that he took the best from each. Wonderful sound and exceptional design. Praise to the builder for the idea and execution!
i love seeing another lefty playing these kinds of instruments. i have wanted a mandocello for a while but the only one i could find is by gold tone and while its nice, its not really my style.
"The instrument is an irish bouzouki converted to a mandocello." What do you mean with 'converted': are you just use other strings in order to tune it lower? BTW: I really like your interpretation :)

Yes, only the strings are different. (You also need a new nut and a new saddle for a perfect intonation
