Going through your older videos while on lockdown (and there's NOTHING on the streaming services wasteland). Entertaining and informative ideas that are inspiring me to tackle some projects that were previously in the "too hard" basket. Thanks so much for these!
@the smugglers room I became an instant fan when I saw your Bobba Fett Slave-1 recreation! Your projects and room is so dang awesome! May the force be with you always! -Stephen Penor
Can't tell you how much I/We appreciate you saying this. We have a blast and hope that we provide good content and value to you all. Thank you for watching!!!
I've commented on a number of your videos over the last few months since i found your channel. I think your builds, including this one, are SUPER cool. And at the same time I also realize that to a large degree they're non-functional. Lots of wasted (functionality wise) space. But so cool at the same time. Very artistic and in that way is is not at all a waste. It just seems... Like all of it should DO something. 🙂 As always, thanks for sharing.
Most impressive. I was wondering how it all would come together and you certainly did not disappoint. Now I have to make this for my 6” black series figures.
Christopher Bandish indeed. I will get some loaded on our community tab later this morning as well as on our Facebook page and Instagram that you can see. I'll also have them up on our website soon.
DuDe!! Excellent vid!! Great suggestions!! All of which I have used 1000 times but it’s amazing how, a refresher or a reminder tells you, “Hey stupid, you’ve done this before so don’t forget about this technique!” I have used models for parts to accentuate another model and backdrops but never thought about using them for an action figure display case. I have shared this video 1000 times and I highly recommend all, “custom builders“ watch this video!! Are you in the Atlanta area? I would love to get together and swap ideas. My hang out is my garage! 😜
Hi Deanna, it is 2' wide by 4' tall and roughly 2 3/4" deep in most places. I purchase the pre-cut MDF 1/4" sheets from Home depot, and they come in 2'x4' sizes
I was waiting for this! Those shelves look incredible. They really look like they came out of the death star! Btw, I'm starting a new channel called Galaxy Greeblies for all sci-fi projects!
I've got the whole '77-'85 collection on my wall and after seeing this, the plain wood shelf I made is just not good enough. I'm going to have to Sci-Fi it up. Oh gosh, I'm starting to see greeblies everywhere and I suddenly have a craving for Simply Juice!
That Geeky Maker YES!!!! That’s fantastic, I can’t wait to see what you come up with as a display option. I’m drinking a little “Simply” right now myself . . . And I know exactly what I’m going to do with the lid when I’m done 🤓
This project came together super well! Now I'm considering making my own smaller version; and I feel like 3D printing would be super great to get the level of detail that you got on your backdrops. Just curious, have you ever used a 3D printer? If not, you NEED to look into getting one sometime. They would be amazing for the kinds of projects that you do
@@TheSmugglersRoom Also, I love your Star Wars addiction! I personally love star wars and i like building video's, so your channel is perfect for me! :D (I was actually shocked at the fact that you don't have way more subs)
@@moko5228 Thank you! We are very glad to have you here. We are junkies for all kinds of building projects, and Star Wars is our favorite. We are thrilled to have all the subs we have, that being said, feel free to share away and help us build the community ;)
Looks totally amazing! All the details are really out of this world, I feel inspired to do something like this to display my action figures as well 😉 Wonderful video 👏👏👍
For this one I used 3m 77 spray adhesive. I spray the MDF and then attach the styrene. You could use super glue as well, or I have even used contact cement in the past.
You had too much fun in this video man... :P Nice work and those shelves really turned out great! I especially love the back drops and how much detail you added just with simple panel lines and greeblies.
@@TheSmugglersRoom there is no shame associated with adults "playing" with toys... they're only collecting action figures and proudly displaying them for everyone to see! :D
Really enjoying your channel I subscribed right away nice flow, interesting content, and your interesting to watch think it was this video, but you using 3,4,5 machinests squares as weights lol
You seem to pull a lot of videography ideas from Video Creators. "That's comin' up!" Haha. Maybe it's a coincidence. Kinda changed my perspective on the YT game. Love your stuff, dude. I don't think I'll ever do much prop-making or greebling but it's sure fun to watch and I love the result. Thought sometimes you hold that "I just delivered a joke. That was a joke." moment a little too long. Is that just me? I'd just maybe... cut those moments out. Personally. I don't mind a little campy humor, as long as you move on pretty quickly. Paces things a little better. ....If unsolicited, amateur criticism isn't annoying. Haha. Cheers.

Hi brian! I know the Avatar and Page belongs to my wife. But this is Brad. I'm not allowed on TH-cam anymore for my political views so I have to borrow hers for a minute. I really envy your skill imagination and the tools you have to work with. Outstanding work I'm very envious. Okay I think I hate you a little bit too. 🤣. Just kidding. Outstanding work!
Amazing space and work, for sure. However you don't ever seem to show a single "hero shot" at the end so we can see it all, instead its just lots of tight pans. I waited through 4 videos and never seemed to ever get a feel for the actual thing you built. Same thing on the moisture vaporator dog bowl and margarita machines.... never a single photo at the end. Very frustrating. Please show a full picture of the project at the end...not just the little zoom pans.
