Filipinos unfortunately dont have a sense of identity and sense of history appreciation. Many say we should be more indigenous, some say we should be modern, while many say we are hispanic. If Filipinos keep not paying attention, future will have a hard time defining who we are. With her win, she will raise awareness that the Philippines were united by the single Hispanic heritage despite the various indigenous cultures of each provinces. It may be cheap to you but its advocacy is so important for the millenials to reconnect with their identity as Filipinos.
