When I look at the woman’s colour scheme I’m reminded of the colour choices used for the animated Star Trek series. The fellow responsible for the colour selection was big into pink, purple and green if I remember right. Also, he wasn’t really very colour blind, he just liked them.
Although I am not into figures that much I really love the results here. This Island Earth is one of my all-time favourite films (just behind Forbidden Planet - I got the reference 😁). The girl's wide eyes are absolutely appropriate for this scene and in fact really make the piece. Looks like you have got an entry for next year's Wonderfest! 👍 I think I may have to have one of the mentioned movies on in the background in my hobby shed this afternoon 😀
Gorgeous paint work as always, you really have an eye for colors. I have fond memories of poring over photos of the Metaluna Mutant in Famous Monsters with my friends.
Recapitator! An exciting new franchise from Miramax! And it worked-- she looked really good. From some angles she looked frightened, from others like she was anxious about how the date was going. Still -- a good new policy; to get in there on that face and get out. I do think you've captured the Faith Demargue pebble-in-shoe face as she tries to move faster than that thing from another planet. I did enjoy seeing the color-changers, uh, change colors when you showed them off. I can offer up ideas now, knowing that you will get out your copy of "It's My Party" with the DJ Dalmaso re-mix lyrics, "It's My Model," by saying you did not need that dusting of shadows or plate delineator black. Just didn't need it. It looks like that's where the floor-cleaning Mew-Tant got lazy. Go 'head-- cue the record. The space gal pose was a nice 50s sci-fi comic blend of Frazetta with a patented Wally Wood pouch belt. The result is that she looks like she was goosed by a rather fresh Mew-Tant. Which is par for the course from something much like our insect-- only larger, more intelligent. Your only flaw, Mr. Dalmaso, is that you did not show us the effect of your re-do of the stretchy alien pants. *My* grumbled wish for kit improvements is only to provide more opportunity for up-lighting. Going to the trouble of providing clear glass brick which works pretty good for the Mew-Tant, but the gal is left in the dark-- well, if only. I know, a base that's two feet long. Okay, so I don't have a better design. Just grumblin' right?

Another great build. And you've created a new highly technical term, "Squirty Paint Thing". Love it. Yes, the eyes work great. Hubert "Hump-frey" is an excellent name for the mutant. When are you going to do Ash from "Evil Dead" that's in the background?
@@robertherriges6807 probably never. I bought it at Wonderfest 2022 and the vinyl is still sticky. I threw out the legs because they were a melting mess. I just don't have the heart to chuck out the rest .
Looks good...probably just me, but her outfits colors looks kind of clashy to me. Especially the teal. I probably would have gone with chrome silver like the outfit in the original film. But that's me. It does look great though.

Hi Lou , wow your painting skills are top notch , im still learning how to use my airbrush , but i guess that will come with practice .

That mutant sculpt is great. It's a shame they don't release it just as a standalone kit. I mean they could do they've got the molds.
