The entire American food, music and whole vibe at most resorts SUCKS!!!! A big reason why I opt to not make it to AI's in Punta Cana. I rather make my way to La Romana or Puerto Plata ... definitely still high end BUT have a bit more DR flavor!!! I'd say if you want food to be truly high end ... The Excellence properties are a bit better
I'm heading there in a couple days - now I know to unplug the room phone to avoid the concierge/timeshare crap! Thanks!
