Method 1: This is a straightforward method right within WhatsApp, but with a minor catch. By diving into the app settings, you can disable “read receipts” to stop the blue ticks that indicate a read message. But remember, this also means you won't know when someone else reads your messages. And, for group chats? This trick won't work.
Method 2: Now, this is my exclusive method you won't find anywhere else. Without disabling “read receipts”, I've found a clever workaround to access your voice and text messages without the sender being any wiser. With some multitasking and quick steps, you'll be able to read or listen to messages without the fear of that blue tick. Curious? Stick around till the end.

if you long press on the voice message and check the info, they can know that you have read the voice message :(
That makes no sense because even if u do all that and you hold down on the Voice Note bar and it gets hilighted the 3 dot icon will pop up and the person can still go on the INFO and see that the VN has been seen and played they just wont see the time but they will know it was played by you.

If they are not in your WhatsApp group will they still know you opened the voice message, only mine isn't showing two ticks and I cannot get my head around the second method. Unfortunately I have opened the voice message before looking this up, I have since done the first step but the second step just flew past me....😮

Please can you explain more details on opening multitask WhatsApp...I got lost...I am not an expert on androids but I still trying
Ciao Giacomo. On my phone which is Xiaomi you can swipe up to see all open apps in that moment ( on your phone is is probably the circle button at the bottom) and then open two apps in one screen. You can search on TH-cam about your specific phone multitasking. But it is more or less the same
How about forwarding the voice message to self or a friend and then listening to it?

What if the sender isn't in your WhatsApp group and you listen to the voicemail and no blue ticks are showing will they know you opened it?
Don't add music in your video
Or just disable internet and listen to it. It will only turn blue after being connected again
