R32 can be replaced with R410A. I have haier HFC 1.5 ton ac and only replace the r32 gas with 410a... and now feeling satisfied and my ac is also working well...

there are sensors indeed but currently no easily available in Pakistan and if available somewhere, they are very expensive. Ideally companies should themselves install a sensor both in indoor and outdoor units with alarm mechanism, after all people are spending nearly 2 lacs on buying an AC

Dear first of all thanks cause this is firts logical & informative session on R32 with technical specification/fire composition/ hazards & precautionary measures but still lot of things to be clarified by government/company this Gas(R32) in AC units used in Residential buildings is safe or unsafe and what is the safety barrier in case of leaking because ordinary people can't afford the LEL/Gas detectors like hydrocarbon process plants/commercial projects. 1) Leakage which is single largest cause if you overview the previous track record of incidents/accidents. Secondly it is not 100% preventable because of operational necessity that means there will be always chances of leakage over life cycle of AC. 2) Design/Quality of materials & Safety barriers belongs to design's existing or known / internally mechanisms hazards responsibility of Manufacturer not the responsibility of buyer 3) MSDS with Unit and certified technicians for installation & service should be listed area wise with rate list by company and make sure they should trained & have company certified/authorization card. 3) Manufacturer is responsible for the safety of people in all aspects and if he is not held this responsibility then people should boycott their products.

Thank you for right information. Following video is also telling same things. This gas has lower flammability limit of 13% and upper flammability of 28%. So if due to minor or major leakage the closed room has reached to this level of concentration then it is dangerous. Otherwise it is safe. Yes, it explodes when the concentration level reaches 14% and direct ignite source is provided otherwise there won’t be any issue.

What about 410??
That is not as better than R32 in terms of specifications but R410 is not that flammable gas in comparison to R32.
