Hey, thank you for your videos. I thought you were the perfect guy to ask these questions.
I need a dash cam, but in order of priority.
    1. Reliabilty
    2. Able to read license plates day and night.
    3. Able to see human faces.
    4. The parking sensor works and has pre - and post recording.
    5. Cloud live recording when event occurs. Preferably at no cost and the reason why I am at this video.
    6. Front - cab facing - rear facing cameras. 3ch
    7. Battery hardwire able.
    8. Wifi and not LTE due to cost.
    Thank you

You are asking for a lot here. I can honestly say not 1 dash camera I have ever tested has all the features you are asking for. Some may come close but they will be missing a feature or option.

@SafeDriveSolutions sadly then. I am hung up on a229pro and the u3000.
The U has the cloud and parking, but the A has the image quality!
I value image quality highly, but I want to be able to have a cloud that sends me messages and notifications. The U also has great parking options.
So, get a notification about over exposed video or risk losing footage and not be alarmed when the car is being attacked.
Jargon: I suppose because of my job, I stay near my car, but I still sometimes leave the jobsite, so still.

Another great demonstration. It would have been nice to see the TW3k rear camera radar at work in the same demo. I hear that it really does not work or is buggy? Keep up the good work.

    Yo Ben,
    Nice demo.
3:37 The 15 minute Auto Power Off function on most multimeters can be disabled by holding down the “HOLD” button before turning on the meter.
It will then remain on indefinitely until the battery dies.
If that doesn’t work it may be a different button, check your user manual.

Also, what kind of motion detection is it? Is it based on changes in the camera CCD sensor, which can give a lot of false positives (i.e. changes in lighting), or is it radar based motion detection? Is the radar 360-degree detection or what is the arc and range of the radar sensor? There are a number of factors to consider. I seem to recall something about car alarms mainly for convertibles having "proximity" sensors that would cause the alarm to chirp if someone was in close proximity and then alarm if the subject was still detected and did not leave in a short time frame.

Thanks for sharing this insightful video!
I was wondering, though, what are your thoughts on the BlackVue Magic Pro? Do you think it would effectively protect the car battery? I'm considering pairing my VIOFO A229 Pro with it to ensure my car battery is safeguarded. From your perspective, is this combination not beneficial, or are there better alternatives?
Additionally, could you recommend a DashCam battery that you believe is the best option for reliability and longevity?
Looking forward to hearing your expertise on this!

    • @SafeDriveSolutions
      @SafeDriveSolutions  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hello, first off the power magic pro will work but I would not use it. I would purchase the Viofo HK4 hardwire cable as that will hook directly up to it and allow you to have a lot more control over parking mode. The cable has low battery protection built into it. Personally the Thinkware IVOLT Xtra all though is still newer to the market has worked great for me and I find it works a lot better for newer vehicles due to how it has to hook up. We will be showing a different dash cam battery pack on our channel this saturday. Which i have had for 2.5 years and still operates as new

@@SafeDriveSolutionsThank you so much for the detailed response.
It's incredibly helpful to learn about the advantages of the VIOFO HK4 hardwire cable over the Power Magic Pro, especially regarding the enhanced control over parking mode and the built-in low battery protection, which I wasn't aware of it.
I'm also intrigued by your recommendation of the Thinkware IVOLT Xtra. Given its performance in newer vehicles and the unique way it connects, it sounds like a fantastic option.
I'm particularly excited about the upcoming video on the dash cam battery pack you've been using for 2.5 years with consistent performance.
That's exactly the kind of reliability I'm looking for. I'll be sure to tune in this Saturday to learn more.
Your insights are invaluable, and I appreciate the time you take to share your expertise with us!

Hi, Thankyou for the video. I would also request to make a detailed video on a229pro with the latest firmware.
Also I have a 2012 Camry Hybrid and I’ve installed a229pro 2ch. Auto event detection parking mode and I get recordings until 8-10 hours.

you may get that with a hybrid. I have heard of some people getting long recording times in hybrids but you have to be careful as well. We are working on trying to give a very educational video on car batteries. Believe it or not some car batteries below 12.4 volts is considered dead. Vehicles just keep changing

    • @djaater
      @djaater 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@SafeDriveSolutions I am using the hk4 kit and I believe I have set it up at 12v or higher.
      Should that be alright?
And also can this longer recording time hurt the hybrid battery as well??

My business partner has endless pages of notes we are trying to turn into a script and dumbed down so it is easy to understand. I think he did not even realize how much car batteries had changed when he got into it. I dont want to tell you the wrong thing. But we always tell people 12 volts and 3 hours with no battery pack and typically everyone is fine. But running it for 8-10 hours. It is hard to say. You do drive a lot with UBER so your battery may be staying very healthy charged.
