    Love the attention to detail and what looks like a significant addition of a rock exterior added to the home.
    Here in Oklahoma, most of our homes are brick and rock exteriors which I love. I'm also a big fan of the rich wood homes, so the fact that Golden Eagle is basically marrying my two favorite home looks into one is a sight to behold.

    One day, I'll be able to afford one of your guys' homes, and when I can, I want a build video done on my place, too. But until that day comes, I'll be here watching in the wings getting ideas for my forever home.

    At 7:21 in this enough video they're backfilling the lower level walls of concrete I do not see the proper Codeines and/or finishes on the concrete walls as per code just thought I'd let you have a little insight from somebody that has 47 years in the business of construction other than that the house looks wonderful

  • @josipmatic4732
    @josipmatic4732 ปีที่แล้ว

    07:20 where is water baririer on the walls?! Water could penetrate into concrete easy...

    • @goldeneagleloghomes
      @goldeneagleloghomes  ปีที่แล้ว

      it's hard to tell, but it's sealed with Karnak. Karnak dries in a light gray color - like the concrete.

    How will cooking/range top venting be handled?

    • @goldeneagleloghomes
      @goldeneagleloghomes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There will be a downdraft, which pulls the particulates down into the ductwork within the floor system. That ductwork will have a booster which pushes the particulates to exterior venting.

    I recently made a comment on your page regarding a floor plan I liked; it was a Golden Eagle Ranch 1850 AR, I recently noticed it's no longer on your website anymore? I printed it off and still have it for my reference. But if you no longer advertise a floor plan on your website, does that mean that the customer can't use that floor plan anymore?

  • @jesusthemonkey
    @jesusthemonkey ปีที่แล้ว

    Floorheating is standart for mabe 40 Years for where i am from. so, nothing realy inovativ here :-D

  • @noelsoto4329
    @noelsoto4329 ปีที่แล้ว

    Guessing this is going to be close to a 2m dollar home? im literally trying to find out how much one of these costs with all the bells and whistles so i can estimate the budget needed. their website is great but its hard to tell what youre getting.

    Question Please - why is the outside of the foundation not sealed prior to backfill? @ th-cam.com/video/m7jQA7TJwKA/w-d-xo.html I would expect some kind of physical moisture barrier applied or perhaps even a liquid/painted barrier?

    • @goldeneagleloghomes
      @goldeneagleloghomes  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Graham, it's hard to tell, but it's sealed with Karnak. Karnak dries in a light gray color - like the concrete.

    If it’s not a basement, but the lower floor, why spend the time, effort, and money to excavate and put it down in the ground?

    • @goldeneagleloghomes
      @goldeneagleloghomes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Many reasons, such as Tornados, less expensive to finish off, keep the overall height lower, we here at Golden Eagle don't judge we just build what are customers want

    Shouldn't this be *Episode 2* in the title? I'm enjoying the build series. Learning about the ideas and reasoning why things are built certain ways and in certain orders is not just educational, but entertaining. Keep up the good work! (Just, proofread your title 😉)
