Just a suggestion, but when you talk about the sets these minifigures come from it might be an idea to briefly show a picture of the set to give a point of reference.
Man, it was like I was just dodging every single set with now-expensive Minifigures as a kid (when these figs were in retail) and now that I care about collecting, these figs cost more than my whole life.
I sold mine in a lot of Lego stuff that I didn't care for that should've gone for 15 dollars a set realistically, but was only 5 dollars a set and Miguel O'Hara was part of it and I got scammed 😢
I actually own a few of these minifigures from this video. I got Spider Man 2099 as the 1st minifigure I bought after my dark ages in April 2022. I also have the 2 other versions of Iron Spider, the MCU one & the updated version from 2021 but not the one shown in this video.
I had that iron spider figure, but i was young at the time and didn't take great care of it, so the printing rubbed off. Now he's just a blurry red guy with gold arms
It's crazy if you compare the most expensive retail marvel minifigures, who is $100, to the most expensive star wars minifigures, probably CC Boba Fett, who is around $4000 new.
The Silver Centurion is my most prized LEGO minifigure for a reason, and I have one open and on display, but I have several still in the bag for trade purposes. I am still looking to acquire a IRON PATRIOT, DEADPOOL (which I was heavily surprised wasn't in this video BTW), and QUICKSILVER. I am happy to trade 1for1 a Unopened Silver Centurion for any of these, manly because I have plenty of them.
If you want scarlet spider for cheap you can use mighty micro scarlet spider torso and spider girls head with red legs and space wildstyles hood and cut up some hand cuffs

I knew i had got two at toys r us for $4.99 someone had put them out on display by accident they had to sell them to me. You just explained how i got the other two my step brother was a manager at game stop he gave me the other two. I sold them all but one last year for $75.00 dollars each 😊
I have every single one of these figures, as I have been collecting every Marvel & DC set since they started, and I also have doubles of a lot of these figures. I have 2 Iron Patriots and 2 Silver Centurions, one opened and one sealed of each, and I also have 2 of the Ultimate Bridge Battle sets built together to make one full bridge and it’s one of my favorite sets. I have a large Marvel display including the bridge, and I also have 2 Daily Bugle sets that are built to make one 8 story tall Daily Bugle, the four original floors and four that I customized myself, and I also just finished building Avengers Tower earlier today but still have to add it to my display. I have the majority of my Marvel figures all over the display depicting a huge battle across everything, but I tried not to use too many doubles of figures that were in multiple sets. I also have somewhere around 10 of the Hall Of Armor sets lol, used to make one giant Hall Of Armor for all the Iron Man figures. Only Marvel stuff I’m missing is some of the Comic Con stuff, which I’ll probably never get because aftermarket prices are ridiculous and I ain’t payin all that 😂
Hi duckbricks, could you elaborate on your criteria for judging rarity? Is it simply price or was retailer exclusivity a factor? I think of rarity as scarcity while I feel like the community favors demand as the definition of rarity.

Interesting. I actually have all of these aside from the spiderman ones. I had no idea any of them were worth anything remotely close to these prices though. The only figure I knew had any real value in my collection was the Suicide Squad Harley Quinn figure from the Apocalypseburg set.

Unless big figs were also not allowed, Red Hulk should be in there and Kraven as well, maybe Yondu. I also am not sure what your using as your basis for what “rare” is.
I didn’t look, but Yondu has been in a couple sets already. But yeah, Red Hulk should of been in here, maybe Kraven too. The Black Order was spread out through the whole wave, so should be pretty rare too

It's both, If a figure is scarce, but not interesting, it's still rare, but not as rare as a desirable figure.
