many thanks; worked perfectly with my 100 series!
Awesome! Glad to hear!
Thanks for this video. I just did this. The only thing I would recommend would be to keep the motor to reattach the shaft. I pulled the antenna and cut the cable. It was too wobbly without the motor as a base.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks for the video. Nicely done.
Thanks!
I assume taking the assembly out also eliminates the motor noise of the antenna going up and down?
Once you remove the assembly there will be no motor or factory antenna to make noise.
Would this be the same for a toyota sequoia,? 02
It should be very similar with the same style of antenna and mounting!
Any difference in reception vs the oem antenna?
To be honest I can't remember what the original antenna sounded like. When that was working I also had a different head unit.
Where did you get your aftermarket antenna bro

My Lexus dealership broke my antenna on my 2007 LX470 today while washing the damn truck. Should I insist that they replace the entire motor/antenna assembly? This looks like a hornet's nest rying to take the thing apart and replace the antenna. Thank you.
Oh geeze! They might just go ahead and replace it, it would probably be easier! If they will, I would push for it!
