I had the same viewpoint as you for a while, but after testing them both extensively, my support lore improved win rates significantly by going with the crit rate t3. I dug into why that would be, because the reasoning you stated for the poison t3 is perfectly sound. And it turns out the poison can only be applied once per round. Even if you crit with every hero against every enemy for 36 crits in one round, each enemy only takes poison for one crit. And that damage is about 20k HP. But the crit rate t3 improves her crit rate and crit damage substantially. So when she fires her skill again on (usually) round 2, instead of doing like 120k to most enemies, she'll do like 300k to all of them (as support; she does a lot more if built for damage). So in one skill she gets out as much extra damage as like 4-5 rounds of the poison. And because the meta is so focused on burst right now, it just works a lot better in practice. Anyway, fantastic video. And you're totally right about teams looking the same. That's a rant I support, lol
