Just for your information. The center for the Detroit lions after the first playoff victory in 32 years had a hunting public Hoodie on. Congrats to you guys for becoming the inspiration for us publicl land hunterd.
Great hunt. Odds are so stacked against even winning in wildcard round that it’s equally disheartening, coming that close to the buck as it is for Jason Kelce finishing his career by losing in the first round For Philadelphia great career though and again great hump on video
Right on! You guys have struck a chord throughout this great country. But Lions faithful love ya's for sure. And there are Lion players, that know all about you guys. Lion pride, True Grit! Let's go boys! Too bad about Kelse, no matter how much private I have or could have, I'll never give up public. It's just where my heart is. Thanks for the show boys. Keep her rocking!
All you guys are amazing. U-all made me find my The passion again. I've been doing this for 30, 40 years or whatever. Kind of just went out for gun, just because. But because my kids got me a crossbow, (I was into big time, compound bow hunting at one time), then watching you guys. I found the passion again. It's amazing how many things I thought I forgot, that you guys, triggered my memories. And/or taught me much more new stuff. And I doubt I'm alone. So many people, really, I have no doubt, so many people. You all have helped in some regard. Love the realness, passion, dedication and education that you all put out. Don't lose that. It is what sets you guys apart from all the rest. Thanks for helping me find my passion again!! All the best boys, All the best!😊
On days like that with high wind, make sure y’all are picking good sturdy trees and always look up and examine the above branches and surrounding trees for anything that could break and fall on/near you
Last year I got in a tree 30 min later the wind picked up was tossing me all over the place about 40 yards from me a giant tree fell over I was sacred as it gets next morning there was deer Browsing on the tree that fell over blew my mind
This is why them big boys stay alive. Just the little things they do, like not being the first in the field, waiting 10 minutes at the edge of the grass, etc. Good luck guys, hopefully you can fill that tag soon.
Don't ever apologize for an AWESOME video! Learn way more from videos like this than the ones that just last 5 minutes and only show a kill shot. Keep it going!👍
Great role modes for ethical hunting! Sadly some people would still have shot without checking or caring, just for some antlers. Great hunt and valuable lesson of its cold no matter how many layers you put on while sitting still! Appreciate you guys!
Great footage…so close!!! Give you credit for tuffing it out in that wind! Hearing that wind gave me many memories of waiting it out on stand. Can’t wait for the next video!
That was fun to watch! Looks Cold and real time cold! Heard the geese I think and the train coming through! That buck was way to patient! Thanks again for the Great Time! Freezing with the both of you!
First off, love everything you guys have put out since I caught wind of you from searching missouri bowhunting public land. I've followed and listened and learned enough to make a few purchases from the woods guys. And that says alot because I'm a tight a$$. I have nothing but love for you guys but this might be the first time I've seen miserable on Warb's face. Ever. And it struck me, hence the first maybe second comment I've ever made. Late season makes you feel inadequate already, unless you're out there to punch extra tags for meat. Those early sits are for the bruisers we put sweat equity into long ago. The late season punch is a real thing for alot of Missourians. I paused this video three and a half minutes in when i recognized the struggle. It's probably somewhere in Iowa lmao. To the crew, cast and audience, aka the WHP the whole hunting public, hope you all had a great season and more ahead. Cheers
With those weather conditions you could have shot a 40lb button head and I would have been excited! That was a really rough hunt. I don't know how you endured that cold wind and held that bow too! Thanks to you for making great videos for us to enjoy!
Don't worry about what other people say, Aaron. You made a good decision passing. I had a nice buck at 120 this year with the muzzleloader. I was uncomfortable with the shot and decided not to take it. Best of luck to you guys, and I hope you soon connect, and I enjoy learning different tactics. Keep it up. it's much appreciated.
I hunted that same evening in western Illinois, and it was a brutal night. I only saw one deer and a bobcat from stand, but several out in another field as I left. The next evening there were deer all over from like 3:00 on, but shooters stayed well out of bow range. Fun and frustrating bowhunting late season.
Man oh man! my favorite hunting video of the year....Congrats on such an incredible encounter and of course awesome footage... Ill bet you were not that cold when the ol heart was pumping that 10 minute time frame before legal shooting ended... thanks for the real time as well.... I'm watching again.. lol..way to get after it in the cold and wind....
That’s so aggravating I know I have had that happen a few times in the past but that’s why they call it hunting and not killing. Still a great video as usual Warb and Zack Thanks for sharing.
Deja vu all over again. I was out in same conditions on southern IA public only tucked tighter to bedding and in the woods. Unfortunately, the deer could have taken many different trails to food and did not come by me. Always frustrating to see their tails leaving the field on the cold lonely walk back to the truck. Late season is tough but their is something primal and final about it. Great video guys. Much respect 👍
I'm glad you also show ethics besides great hunting videos! Too many people just want to send it and hope. I don't care how many shots you make at 50 yds in your backyard practice, hanging in a tree changes shooting at things that move is totally different . Especially with that wind. Keep up the great work.
Awesome video my friends! So I see I'm not the only one that this happens to 😂 Part of it though, and makes it that much sweeter when it does finally come together. Keep em' coming, I'm in deer season withdrawals boys
Been there! Good stuff Warb, that's how older bucks survive... It's sure been a cold January around here and that set-up in the wind looked cold. That's exactly why I run Vortex too, can't beat their warranty. Thanks for sharing and I'll be patiently waiting to see what's next.
Way To Tuff it out Men! Reminds me of our Winter Bow Hunts here in SOPRANO LAND! We used to get a bunch of Traditional Bow Hunters together here and put DEER DRIVES on. Just imagine if You had some of the other THP Men with you to bump those Deer and That Buck to you.
Thats hunting! Ups and downs! I hunted every weekend and some full weeks this season during gun and bow . I finally gave up last this last sunday. I had multiple opportunities that just never panned out right! But thats ok i had alot of fun and got to spend a ton of time with friends and family! Ice fishing here i come. Lol
That was a great hunt! Great woodsmanship Warb! Based on the sign you discovered and previous observations, you put your selves in the sweet spot. And thanks for detailing why that Buck stayed back, good info. 👍
Vortex has incredible customer service. I have an old pair of Eagle Optics binoculars and Vortex honors their warranty just the same since Eagle Optics no longer exists but had a deal with Vortex.
Wow that looked and sounded brutally cold. You guys are tough. I'm down here in Alabama and it's gonna be 10 degrees in the morning so I know how you feel. Love y'all, keep em coming.
Imagine the frontal lobe on that buck. He's cold. He's hungry. He's been bedded up in the wind all afternoon and he's bored to tears. But his executive functions can regulate his urge to feed and exercise a sort of "patience". He remembers being shot at in that bean field in daylight in the past.
No one wants to be the first one to the dessert bar, but once that first person gets up, we all flock there like......deer to a bean field! Great video and thanks for rolling that in real time so we could observe this behaviour, he's big for a reason!
I endured the same wind from the same storm this Saturday - in eastern PA (5C), with 30-30 AND bow, lol, but the risk of limbs in the tree I was in was just too much. (Your wind chill must have been brutal.) Ground hunting provided good wind break but no shot for me either. Beautiful photography in that storm. Thanks for sharing!
Man that buck wore my patience out !! I might have shot the spike out of frustration lol can’t lie I really love late season in the snow with archery gear but it’s tough! Way to stick with it Aaron 💯💪🏼
I got a 5 year old mature buck. 183 pound 10 pointer. Late afternoon he popped out. He stopped and stared at us for 10 mins. He either smelled us or heard us. But he was a very cautious deer and came from bedding. I had a perfect 80 yard clear shot, a Rest and my dad stopped him.
I've had that same thing happen. There was a great buck less than 100 yards from me, only he was on land that i could not hunt coming to my hunting spot, only taking his sweet time. Finally got to dark and I had to let him go. I've seen it happen several times. Drives me nuts.
They get so nervous in those woods when there are high winds, they really prefer to move in the open to calm down and relax some. This deer just happened to come out when it got dark.
That buck was just doing what all of us have done, especially us married fellows. As Brad Paisley wrote it, waitin' on a woman... Or in that bucks case, about 5 of them.
Just for your information. The center for the Detroit lions after the first playoff victory in 32 years had a hunting public Hoodie on. Congrats to you guys for becoming the inspiration for us publicl land hunterd.
thats awesome !
Great hunt. Odds are so stacked against even winning in wildcard round that it’s equally disheartening, coming that close to the buck as it is for Jason Kelce finishing his career by losing in the first round
For Philadelphia great career though and again great hump on video
Lol he dont hunt public anymore
I'm a Bears fan from Iowa, and it's till hard to not like that team. a THP hoodie might make them too goated lol
This is the stuff that fires me up. I could watch that for hours. He also waited till shooting light ended and stepped out like he KNEW haha. Love it
All you guys are amazing. U-all made me find my The passion again. I've been doing this for 30, 40 years or whatever. Kind of just went out for gun, just because. This is what makes these guys the best !
These hunts really show your passion for hunting. To go out in those conditions after another grueling season is impressive
Awesome footage of that mature buck! Goes to show why old bucks get old! Very intelligent deer. Thanks for an awesome late season video
Bet that was heart pounding
On days like that with high wind, make sure y’all are picking good sturdy trees and always look up and examine the above branches and surrounding trees for anything that could break and fall on/near you
Great advice
Last year I got in a tree 30 min later the wind picked up was tossing me all over the place about 40 yards from me a giant tree fell over I was sacred as it gets next morning there was deer Browsing on the tree that fell over blew my mind
So interesting watching the behavior of this deer. No wonder he got so old, he’s very cautious.
This is why them big boys stay alive. Just the little things they do, like not being the first in the field, waiting 10 minutes at the edge of the grass, etc. Good luck guys, hopefully you can fill that tag soon.

Great role modes for ethical hunting! Sadly some people would still have shot without checking or caring, just for some antlers. Great hunt and valuable lesson of its cold no matter how many layers you put on while sitting still! Appreciate you guys!
I’m glad you let that play out as it happened. He got big for a reason. Really interesting to chronicle that behavior. Thanks!
Probably some the harshest weather THP has ever endured. In a tree yet. Nothing like
Hugging the swaying tree you’re in.. awesome content

This happens to me a lot during late season archery!! Super exciting !!!
Thanks for not editing that segment and letting us see how it played out. I’ll keep that in mind in early bow season next fall
Very interesting watching that buck’s behavior. Thank you for sharing!
I like the subtitles telling us what you're thinking.
Loved seeing it play out in real time (uncut) - just need some Jim Ryser music behind it and I can watch this stuff all day.
With those weather conditions you could have shot a 40lb button head and I would have been excited! That was a really rough hunt. I don't know how you endured that cold wind and held that bow too! Thanks to you for making great videos for us to enjoy!

The things we do for a successful hunt. Braving the harsh elements, catching cold, enduring he'll. You go guys. All in a day's work.😊
Man oh man! my favorite hunting video of the year....Congrats on such an incredible encounter and of course awesome footage... That buck has all the time in the world as long as he doesn't walk in front of you.
Heater Body suit would be nice on a day like that!
I enjoyed this hunt very much, this is how it really works not always a harvest, but thats hunting. Good job.
That’s so aggravating I know I have had that happen a few times in the past but that’s why they call it hunting and not killing. Still a great video as usual Warb and Zack Thanks for sharing.
Yea, no appologies necessary! Are you kidding? That was so Excellent! You are telling an amazing story. Thanks.
I enjoyed the footage without editing so we could see how the buck was acting! Very informative.
Love the way you let the encounter play out in real time
I've had so many big deer do that same thing to me stand there like a statue till dark .great stuff boys
That buck was checking his watch. He knows when shooting time is up😂
Super exciting video, Aaron! Thanks and best of luck bagging that monster.
Enjoyed It, Thanks for “Toughing it Out”!🏆👊👊
23:43 that’s very interesting it’s like he is making sure it’s save for the herd
You guys are giving all new meaning to the term tree huggers. 🥶🤣 he will be bigger next year.
So close! Tighter in a bedding funnel is usually better than at a huge food source
As always, another good video guys. Looking forward to the next one 👍🇺🇸🦌
You should subtitle this one “How They Get Big”. That buck showed tremendous patience. Way to hang in there, guys!
Deja vu all over again. I was out in same conditions on southern IA public only tucked tighter to bedding and in the woods. Hands down my favorite HUNTING video of this season!
I know just how that walk back to the truck feels all too well.
U could tell the second he stopped on a dime. He knew something wasn’t right. There senses are incredible.
I'm glad you also show ethics besides great hunting videos! Too many people just want to send it and hope. I don't care how many shots you make at 50 yds in your backyard practice, hanging in a tree changes shooting at things that move is totally different . Especially with that wind. So what state land in the state of Michigan has corn fields that big?
Whats your point?@@Jellybean-jx8iy
Very cool encounter, I wanted to get out but wasn’t going alone in that weather. Mad respect Warb seeing you guys hunting those conditions.
That was some awesome footage.. i was on the edge of my seat, hoping you'd get a shot... Love your channel ...
Awesome another bow hunting video. Thank you
Great hunt. Now back up 75 yards in a ground set up. You got him!
Awesome video my friends! So I see I'm not the only one that this happens to 😂
Part of it though, and makes it that much sweeter when it does finally come together.
Keep em' coming, I'm in deer season withdrawals boys
That’s the breaks we get when we hunt the late season!
Been there! Good stuff Warb, that's how older bucks survive... It's sure been a cold January around here and that set-up in the wind looked cold. That's exactly why I run Vortex too, can't beat their warranty. Thanks for sharing and I'll be patiently waiting to see what's next.
Heartbreaking for sure, but that's how the mature bucks survive!
Dang super jealous our season was over 1/1/24. Just started watching. I lucked out and got one with the bow on the last day too.
They don’t get big like that for no reason. Every year he gets a little smarter. Nice one for sure
What a heart breaker. Good hunting tho boys. Gotta get in there just a little farther next time
Way to stick it the tough weather is hard to sit in the tree stand when it’s brutally cold
„Could be a Santa Suit“ Thats a challange in the making 😉
Oh man, what a good deer !! Definitely wall worthy.
That Buck didn’t get that old by being dumb, very cautious guy👍🏻
Vortex has incredible customer service. I have an old pair of Eagle Optics binoculars and Vortex honors their warranty just the same since Eagle Optics no longer exists but had a deal with Vortex.
Good stuff! So close!! Get warm!!
You gotta' love snow camo !
I heard some guys are even using it while green up in tree stands.
love the way you guys hunt...make sure to to vote november 5th. many hunters dont.
Wow that looked and sounded brutally cold. You guys are tough. I'm down here in Alabama and it's gonna be 10 degrees in the morning so I know how you feel. Love y'all, keep em coming.
That was great , my bow hand was getting cold while watching this video
Real hunting! A smart old buck.
I was just watching a buck the other day behind the house. Did the same thing. Good time of year to see a mature buck at distance
Awesome footage and helpful video, thank you!
Now that’s hardcore! I would have stayed in bed watching TH-cam videos 😂 Great video
Watch at 22:17 till 23:36 above the buck, in the lighter spot you'll see 7/8 deer walk right to left about as far back as you can see in tree line.
So funny hearing Aaron pick up the different accents depending on where he is/who he’s with lol.
very cool footage guys keep up the great vids
4 minutes. Let it fly!,,,
Imagine the frontal lobe on that buck. He's cold. He's hungry. He's been bedded up in the wind all afternoon and he's bored to tears. But his executive functions can regulate his urge to feed and exercise a sort of "patience". He remembers being shot at in that bean field in daylight in the past.

That Was a stud of an 8 point. Amazing footage
I can feel how cold this video is...
Man that buck wore my patience out !! I might have shot the spike out of frustration lol can’t lie I really love late season in the snow with archery gear but it’s tough! Way to stick with it Aaron 💯💪🏼

Winter has finally set in here, awful cold.

Yo.. wise buck..! Looked brutal out there boys..! Good effort..!
That is crazy how far he walked before that final 10 minutes and then how he just stopped that last 10 minutes. Unbelievable
Wow really no coincidence i was looking for other deer in the back ground, as soon as they show up boom. Thats cool
Man that was a nice high rack 8!
Those mature bucks have a sixth sense that is hard to beat. That was ridiculous how long that guy hung up just out of range.
They get so nervous in those woods when there are high winds, they really prefer to move in the open to calm down and relax some. This deer just happened to come out when it got dark.
Guess ole Herman had sense enough to stay back in the warm cabin 😂.
I wonder if he would of went into the field if Herman would of been out there 🤔
I got those same Walmart gloves and there very warm to hunt in, 10 dollars well spent!!
Looked like a cold sit! at least there was plenty of action.
That even SOUNDS cold.
That buck was just doing what all of us have done, especially us married fellows. As Brad Paisley wrote it, waitin' on a woman... Or in that bucks case, about 5 of them.
LOL, that was a tough wait. Cool footage though. You guys are definitely CRAZY!
I'm curious on the arrow drift at 50 yards with a 30 mph crosswind with your setup
Oh man. What a heart breaker.
