I love videos like this, we don’t always have to talk about the new new. There’s so much great makeup in our collections that deserve the spotlight again.
Yes please! I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo sick n' tired of hearing about *NEW NEW NEW* and its dupes. Can we just take a fat moment to appreciate the greatness we already own and relax for a bit? I need a moment. THX for sharing this video.
I was sad when this video ended, I was really vibing with this theme. Maybe you would consider doing another one like a part 2? I have about half of these and will be trying them out, thanks Jen! 👌🏼
Recently you’ve inspired me to give more attention to the makeup I have and not chase the newest thing. This type of video supports that so beautifully-hope it gets tons of views because it’s great content-such a relief from the flood of Sephora sale recommendations and the “25 things from Amazon I can’t live without” videos in my feed! ❤
I’ve been on an eyeshadow stick kick - now you’re getting me back into opening my palettes. I can’t be bothered with a complicated shadow look these days ❤
Loved this one you just did all the work for me…I just need to pull them from my collection vs spending 57 Canadian dollars on the Patrick Ta single shadow duos😂
I am so happy that someone AKA Jen brought this up! It drives me crazy that everyone wants us to buy even more products by pushing single shadows. We have so many palettes that if we pick 1 shadow.......we have a one and done look. Nothing else to buy!!!!!
I so appreciate this! I work 10-hour shifts that start at 7:00 AM and I finally realized one and done is the way to go for me on most days. Applying makeup so early in the morning, I like to keep things as simple as possible with a minimal amount of products. I can't wait to try out your recommendations!
Just added ColourPop going coconut nuts to my cart. You convinced me. I love neutrals and cool tones and it’s beautiful. I’m finally going to bite the bullet❤
One & done shadow series is my top fav subject in makeup. So glad you did one! Tom Ford's Naked Bronze duo pot is my fav one-&-done shadow of all time. Xoxo
This is a great idea for a video! I love one and done eyeshadows, but I rarely hear people talking about them in the context of tried and true palettes.
Haha, this is such good timing for me. I've been binge watching videos about one and done eyeshadows - so much so that I've even gotten into videos 3, 4 years old with shades that aren't even available any more. So on topic for me! Thanks Jen!
Love these videos where we get a second look at our existing palettes. Thanks for putting this together for us! I'm also from Connecticut Autumn is looking beautiful right now and its been warmer than usual. Indian summer.
I like your emphasis on use what you have. Another advantage to using a one and done from a palette is the darker shades. I have deep set eyes, so I don’t use a crease color, but I love a dark eyeshadow as an eyeliner.
With my hooded eyes a one eyeshadow look makes my eyes look small and more hooded without a medium toned crease shade to make the hood look less hooded. I wish I could do a one and done.
Loved this video - it’s inspiration to look at palettes in another way. It would be great to see each of these shadows on your eyes as one and dones. Maybe if you do another video featuring other palettes, you can display a photo to the side 😊
Love this video Jen! I’ve been on a big budget this year but couldn’t stop thinking about the Going Coconuts palette I had, I used it well but dropped it and busted a few shades so threw it out a few years ago but could never get over the warm-neutral tones and fabulous shimmers. This past week colourpop had a sale with 20% and free shipping with any order so I was able to just purchase that one without feeling pressured to buy more to make the minimum for free shipping. I’m so happy you featured it! Now those profusion palettes are calling to me again too!😂❤️🙏
Coco Crush is so pretty! I recently dropped my Going Coconuts in a hotel bathroom and just couldn't justify keeping it after that, even though only 1 broke. But I did notice that palette is magnetic! You could pop other singles out and make your own palette with the component once you're done with the other shades.
More and more, I see the trend toward one-and-done shadows. I think it started with the Caviar sticks (and the others that followed) and now it's the thing. I have the stick shadows and they are convenient, but I find myself buffing them a bit for daily wear. So I may as well see what I have in some of my palettes to do a similar thing. Funny, I just always think of my palettes for a trio look--crease, outer corner, lid--not as single shades. Thanks Jen!
Loved these shades. 🤩 I like how you not only show us the most beautiful colors but it reminded me to break out some palettes I haven’t used in a while as there truly are some special shades in there.
I grabbed a few pallets that I’ve been ready to toss because I just don’t reach for them…and found a couple in each that will be great for one and done! Such a great idea!!!
Sorry I’m late to this video, but I love one and done. You are definitely talking my language. I’ll have to go through my eyeshadows and see what new treasures I can find.❤
I just adore your videos, Jen!🤗💜💎 you take so much time & effort & HONESTY to produce such great videos... please take this as a compliment, I know you've mentioned in the past that ppl make "not so nice" comments about your hands... well I want to tell you the skin on your hands & fingers look great! The green polish looks awesome & so nice on you!🥰❤️💄💋👑 I need to know your secret!😊
Aw thank you Shannon! 🥰❤️ Before this video, I used a hand scrub, slathered them in lotion and oil and put gloves on for half and hour to let it soak in. I knew that my hands would be front and center so I was hoping they would look okay.
Profusion is so amazing for the price! I have the Wanderlust palette and just wore a green and blue combination last night... Not a 'one and done' but still just two colors that I popped on my lid with my finger (and then blended a bit into the crease) before I ran out the door... so beautiful. I don't really have the attention span for some of the very involved eye looks people show on TH-cam so I absolutely appreciate when there is a quick option!
I watched this yesterday and used the shade Jen recommended from Natasha Denona's I Need a Nude palette today. I loved it! I couldn't believe I never thought to use a shade from a palette as a one and done. I always just reached for a Colourpop Super Shock or a Moira Starshow Shadow Pot or Chroma Light Shadow for my one and done. This opens up a world of possibilities, lol! Excuse me as I go swatch a few palettes.
Love this video! Now that I'm 62 I'm going for a softer look. I like to use a soft taupe or lighter brown for my crease and a soft sheen on my inner corner. Out of all my pallettes the only 2 that I reach for are my Stone Cold Fox and It Cosmetics Natually Pretty Essentials!
Great video, Jen! Very helpful for me because of your discussions about the nuances and undertones of the various colors. Also your comments and demos comparing colors, density, metallic impacts- just fantastic. Another person asked for a second video like this. Me too! May need to watch this one again, because I'm working on changes to my look. ❤
I love this video. Beautiful shades. I was waiting for you to pull out the profusion ethereal palette. That shade is so special. There's also a lavender one in that palette that's stunning. One of my favorites is in the wet n wild Maryland Monroe 5 pan palette. It's a stunning metallic Rose gold.
Odens eye has my favorite one and done single shimmers. They are creamy and don’t fall out. And of course, Huda has made my favorite palettes of all time. I’m really looking forward to her Icy Nudes
Wow what a bunch of beautiful shades! Can’t afford most of them but enjoyed this video. I’m sure I can find a few one and done in my stash. I’m updating my makeup bag so would love a video with your #1 picks drugstore in every category! Overwhelmed by choices.
I have the Going Coconuts pallet and am going to use that shade today! So pretty! Typically I'll do the L'oreal Infallible bronzer in the crease, and put the Super Shock shadow in the shade Koosh, on the lid. And I love those 2 for an easy look.
I loved this video! One and done is kind of my go-to eye look these days. I'm definitely going to check out a few of these - particularly the Moira and Profusion ones that I don't have. I also really love a bunch of the shades in the different "Lights" palettes from Flower Beauty. The "Desert Lights" colors are my favorite overall but all four of the "Lights" palettes have gorgeous one and done options!
I absolutely love this video! A lot of my fav shimmers are in the Beauty Bay palettes my fav is Reckless Romance and Botanical. Also the Huda Rose Quartz is one of my favs 4sure
I too love a one and done! I actually tore down most of my cardboard palettes, (moved shades in my ND/viseart palettes) and put all my faves in Z-palettes and sent the colors I don't want (in Z-palettes) to family... and it works. I'm happy, they're happy, it's win win! Thanks for all you do! 🧡🧡
While most of the time I also use the mattes, I love the three shimmer shades in the Colourpop Making Mauves palette as one and dones. So pretty and work so well on my fair pink skin. I love all your picks too, Jen!
I loved this video! I just got rose quartz and didn’t realize how gorgeous some of those shades are!!! I use one in my Pat McGrath Midnight Sun and it looks just like the one in your Going Coconuts. I love wearing my mid tone naked palette’s satin shades like this. ETA - I jest tried Blissful I’m RQ!!! 🤩. It’s so gorgeous. I hadn’t touched it yet. I’m so glad I saw this.
Oh I was just so drooling over the shadows. Stellar!! What an excellent idea. You and I like the same; so we must still be besties. I appreciate you so, so much !
i love this video SO MUCH! anything that inspires me to dig into my collection. it can be difficult to overcome the "out of sight, out of mind" phenomenon created by makeup storage OR just having a large(r) amount. information helps with decision overwhelm AND to not buy new stuff! we already have beautiful stuff!💓
I think I might have to get the I'm Falling For You palette from Moira. Purple is my favourite colour, so the two shades you swatched instantly made me sit up. The palette as a whole has a lovely colour story.
Hi Jen! I feel that way about my Urban Decay Naked Wild West palette. I know some people weren't particularly fond of that colour story, but the colours really enhance my Hazel eyes. Plus, Uta was having a sale and I got it for half price! They have a warm gold, bronze, copper and real metallic that really flatter my Hazel eyes. I'm going to DC next month for Thanksgiving, and that's the only palette I'm taking. I'm trying to travel more lightly. I gotta stop bringing so much makeup when I travel. Do a video about that!
I have been using the eye shadow sticks/crayons for a one and done, but using my palettes to find a color that will be good to use for a quick one and done is a great idea. Thanks for sharing selections.
Hi Jen,my favourite one &done looks are from Natasha Denona palettes- 1. I need a warm palette - the shade I love is phenomena,2. I need a nude palette- the shade is Filigree, and 3. the Yucca palette - the shades are plantasia, komorebi, Makia, 4.the xenon palette- the shades are,Cygnus, stellar, ebb, snow bow, as you can tell I love ND’s shades they just are so beautiful and on my mature (57) eyes they perform stunningly. Love Katherine xoxo
I love your one and done eyeshadow choices! I have a similar skin tone to yours but my eyes are golden brown but the shades that you’ve chosen work. I always take into consideration which shades can be worn as one and done when I invest in an eyeshadow palette. Sometimes I’ll go for a bold look ( vibrant greens for example or a multi chrome shade ) and on other occasions I’ll wear some of the shades from the ND I Need a Nude palette or some from the Huda Beauty Rose Quartz or the ABH Nouveau palette. Thanks for sharing your favorites ❤️
❤LOVE THIS ❤ HOW did I miss that one from the Profusion Ethereal palette 😅 I have it, and I don't think I've used that shade before. I always get stuck on the pinky one at the top, called Delicate 😅 this is why I LOVE your channel. I also recently bought Going Cocnuts, and really enjoying that one too❤ I recently made my own quad from Beauty Creations, and I curated it as all one and done's. But my favourites have been UFO and Howdy. I think I may have to buy that ABH palette, because that's Beautiful ❤Your nail polish is SO PRETTY ❤
Love this video- inspires me to pull out some of these palettes that i own but also to explore my others for one and done. I’ve definitely been moving to simpler eyes this fall.

I don’t have any of these palettes, but I have TONS of palettes. So, this has inspired me to go through my palettes and find my fav 1 & dones ✅ 😊
I was sad when this video ended, I was really vibing with this theme. Maybe you would consider doing another one like a part 2?
I have about half of these and will be trying them out, thanks Jen! 👌🏼
Part 2 would be fun!!
@JenPhelps yes please ...part 2!
Hi! It was so much fun to watch! Could you please do matte eyeshadow version as well? Thank you for your beautiful videos!!❤
I’m 57. This is exactly how I do my eye shadow look these days. Super easy
This is so aesthetically pleasing and relaxing. Love this type of video. A perfect way to use all of your favorite palettes.
Aw thank you!!
I love love love this!!! I love that you showcased colors you actually use, and colors that aren’t all neutral. I could watch you do this all day!
Aww thank you!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! :)
Love this type of video. I am not buying new makeup so I love using older palettes so they get more use.
I’ve been on an eyeshadow stick kick - now you’re getting me back into opening my palettes. I can’t be bothered with a complicated shadow look these days ❤
What are your favorite sticks?
@@katiehenry7 julep and Laura mercier caviar sticks. 😍
@@christinecho779 thank you! ❤️
We love Jen!
We really do!!! ❤
Loved this one you just did all the work for me…I just need to pull them from my collection vs spending 57 Canadian dollars on the Patrick Ta single shadow duos😂
Love my Huda and ABH palettes ❤ Every time I use them I'm reminded of how much I love them and get a renew excitement about using them.
I could watch these swatches all day, they're mesmerising

Great video Jen! I can’t wait to go through all of my palettes and find some new favorites!
One of my favourites is the top row outer eye lid in the natasha denona glam paltte.
Just added ColourPop going coconut nuts to my cart. You convinced me. I love neutrals and cool tones and it’s beautiful. I’m finally going to bite the bullet❤
You will love it! It’s still one of my favorite palettes after all these years😊
You will love it!😊
One & done shadow series is my top fav subject in makeup. So glad you did one! Tom Ford's Naked Bronze duo pot is my fav one-&-done shadow of all time. Xoxo
Aaah, I was about to say you're running out of arm, then you did 😂. This is a very useful video for busy women, can you do more on multi use products?
If only you could make one palette for us with those shadows!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I would love to do that!
This is a great idea for a video! I love one and done eyeshadows, but I rarely hear people talking about them in the context of tried and true palettes.
There’s some truly beautiful shades in this video.
Haha, this is such good timing for me. I've been binge watching videos about one and done eyeshadows - so much so that I've even gotten into videos 3, 4 years old with shades that aren't even available any more. So on topic for me! Thanks Jen!
Some of my fave one and dones are the Flower Beauty “Lights” palettes. They are so good!
This has to be my favorite video you’ve created. I love metallic eyeshadows. Love them! This was a joy to watch. Love from Seattle!
Gorgeous shades! And I am all about easy, so one and done is my style. Thanks for sharing!❤❤❤️
I’d love to see you do an all matte eye look (not a fan of shimmer). It would look great on you.
I love this idea for a one and done. Beautiful swatches from beautiful palettes.
I love a good one and done eyeshadow. Your choice of colors is drool-worthy. Thank you!
Love these videos where we get a second look at our existing palettes. Thanks for putting this together for us! I'm also from Connecticut Autumn is looking beautiful right now and its been warmer than usual. Indian summer.
Yes!! It's been gorgeous here! 🥰
Yay! A one and done video!!
I have hooded eyes too but I usually just extend the lid shade up into my crease and it makes my lids look bigger. :)
That's exactly the way my eyes are. In fact the medium toned crease shade is more important than the lid shimmer shade for me. But I need both
I love those neutral shadows. I have been using Fall Romance a lot. It has a sophisticated Halloween color story in my opinion.
Coco Crush with the Super Shock “Ritz” is one of those always lovely and go with everything combos you can’t help but feel pretty in.
Loved this video - it’s inspiration to look at palettes in another way. It would be great to see each of these shadows on your eyes as one and dones. Maybe if you do another video featuring other palettes, you can display a photo to the side 😊
Oh my! This was a great video! I'd watch parts 2, 3, and 4 to this 😊🩷
Love this video Jen! I’ve been on a big budget this year but couldn’t stop thinking about the Going Coconuts palette I had, I used it well but dropped it and busted a few shades so threw it out a few years ago but could never get over the warm-neutral tones and fabulous shimmers.

Oh yes! I love the idea of one and done shadows. That's such a good topic.
You got me excited about many of those pallets again. Good idea to use them for one and done shadows.
Fall romance gets alot of use...I love that pallet for one and done
I wore the going coconuts "coco crush" as my one and done eyeshadow today! I used a little coolada in my crease for some definition.
I just blend away the shimmer shadow in my crease with a crease brush - it creates the perfect crease color, and it works!
I feel like shimmers blend even more easily than mattes do!
Thank you Jen ,,this video was so so helpful,,i loved this,t.y.💖🤗
Love love love this one!!!❤

Wow these shadows are gorgeous!!
Thank you for this video, Jen! This just goes to show that I don't need to purchase a $42 eyeshadow duo in order to create eye-catching looks! ✨️
Thank you for reminding me of many beautiful shadows I have!
I love this video. Please do more.
I love this video. I have three tiny Viseart palettes. They are so beautiful. I really want another.
I have been using my shadow sticks as other subscriber wrote; but I am going to look at my eyeshadow palettes to check them out. Thanks Jen!
Wow, Going to have to check out that profusion palette
It's so pretty!
I love all the shades you swatched and this video inspired me to get them out to play.
Odens eye has my favorite one and done single shimmers. They are creamy and don’t fall out. And of course, Huda has made my favorite palettes of all time. I’m really looking forward to her Icy Nudes

Timely video. I have been searching out one and done shadows that are work friendly - shimmers and metallics without or micro glitter. ❤
I have the Going Coconuts pallet and am going to use that shade today! So pretty! Typically I'll do the L'oreal Infallible bronzer in the crease, and put the Super Shock shadow in the shade Koosh, on the lid. And I love those 2 for an easy look.

This is such an amazing Video Jen, I also have some favorite one and done shadows in my palettes. ❤🎉
Right now I am super stuck on Toasted and Half Baked in my Naked palette.
Great video!!! Got a lot of inspiration!! Thank you!! ❤❤❤
