Actually about Italian and French people I think you're a bit wrong Jess xD. I've been at both countries and I can say it's quite hard finding somebody who speaks other languages there, even english (and between the French english speakers usually they speak english with a terrible accent, what makes almost impossible to understant them, even harder than understanding asian people). I think one of the countreis where the people in general speak more languages is Belgium, they have 3 oficial languages I guess (depending the region) and a great part of the population speak english as well.
