@Commander Shepard Although, given, that he has been declared Excommunicate Traitoris, I think Spire will come at no repercussions after killing him (and, maybe, even get a few thanks for putting down this rabid madman).
@@caav56 Since the Inquisition is basically in a state of constant civil war, probably more than half of all inquisitors would thank Spire, while the other half would be glad to have a competitor eliminated.
I find it hilarious that an Inquisitor would dare to fire on Mccrages Honor with the Lord Commander himself presumably on it. Having Gulliman in the campaign seriously fucks up that part of the story
@@Gegs-f6r >I find it hilarious that an Inquisitor would dare to fire on Mccrages Honor with the Lord Commander himself presumably on it The Inquisition at large has been stonewalling Guilliman since his ascension and the High Lords of Terra themselves conspired to launch a coup against him after threatening their power. Its not that far-fetched, especially for hardline Puritan Inquisitors.
gotta say I love how Spire is portrayed as incredibly diplomatic while surrounded by jerks, from an inquisitor who literally introduces himself just being like "I know you are a traitor" and casually proceeds to give him orders, to the Iron Hands who are like "you should be honored to received the privilege of supporting us in combat". And he just remains diplomatic and plays the game each one in the conversations.
I'm sure he must have polished up these diplomacy skills a lot over the course of the first game. Lots of politicking with not only the inquisition but the space marines, mechanicus and of course fellow admirals too.
He’s also from 800 years in the past, so I’d like to imagine the Imperium was more…amenable back then, at least to their allies, and now he has to deal with how bad things have gotten in his absence.

@The Premier The Imperium isn't fascist. So long as you're human - yes, even certain mutant strains are considered human - and so long as you're a loyal servant of the God-Emperor of Mankind, your sexuality doesn't really matter. In the grim darkness of the far future, there's a surprising amount of acceptance. Besides, in a galaxy-spanning empire where trillions upon trillions of humans, it's not like anyone's gonna care when basic survival is essentially a struggle on most Imperial worlds.
Man, I’ve been watching these cutscene compilations and I gotta day, whoever wrote the dialogue deserves a gold star. Voice acting could be a little better, but the exchanges between adversaries are always so sophisticated.

This was excellently shot, been going through this campaign and know just how tough some of those special missions are. To also get some of these shots must have been a ton of work.
There is one point of confusion for me in terms of the story: the disagreement with the inquisitor. Since the Lord commander, Guilliman himself is there with the macragge's honour, couldn't Spire have appealed to him to be the arbiter of the disagreement? Surely Guilliman's authority supersedes that of the inquisitor?
If I may, most likely that part of the story was meant to happen before Macragge´s Honour and Guilliman appeared. There was dialogue in certain parts of the story what makes sense only when you play them in certain order. Edit: Thanks for all the likes.
And also Emil Darkhammer was very ruthless and cruel Inquisitor in his life. He murdered billions of innocents simply to kill few traitors. Edit: Only Kryptman has bigger friendly fire kill count.

11:44 (Bold indicates spoken dialogue in the cutscene between Archmagos Cawl and Trazyn.) Trazyn eventually made his way to Cadia, accompanied by several key items holding portions of his Imperial collection. He made contact with Archamgos Dominus Belisarius Cawl, who had set himself the task of determining how to make use of the Cadian Pylons to close off the Eye of Terror from realspace and save Cadia from the forces of Chaos. The archmagos at first mistook the Necron Overlord for another xenos who had aided him in the past and set him on the path to Cadia, the Harlequin Shadowseer Sylandri Veilwalker. Cawl turned, servo-crawlers scuttling beneath him. The intruder was not the Aeldari Shadowseer. Green eyes blazed from beneath a hood of metallic scale. The power core of a burnished staff glinted. *"I mean you no harm."* The figure cocked his head to one side. "Are those the correct words? I find that no matter which I use, no one ever believes them." He paused. "Wait...What did you call me?" Secondary circuits meshed, retrieving ancient data. A Necron. A soulless embodiment of the Motive Force. A blasphemy against the Omnissiah. Cawl's Arc Scourge slithered to life, energy crackling across its coils. *"You are an abomination."* The Necron set his staff aside. *"'Thief' normally suffices. I prefer 'honoured guest.' But abomination or thief, you and I have common cause."* Cawl willed the Arc Scourge's tendrils to war mode, already anticipating the joy of dissection. *"Logic dictates otherwise."* *"Then you don't seek to understand the nature of this matrix?"* The Arc Scourge grew still at Cawl's wordless command. This was unexpected. Or was it the abomination's trick to preserve its mockery of existence? *"You comprehend its secrets?"* *"I was there when they were first erected. Or perhaps I wasn't. You of all people should understand that memory is a fickle thing."* Cawl allowed an angry hiss to rattle through his rebreather. *"We share no commonality."* "Perhaps. I went to the fires of biotransference in chains. You, I think, have gladly sliced away your humanity piece by piece." The Necron stepped closer, eyes blazing. *"But neither of us desires to see this galaxy ripped asunder by the Empyreal Ones. Destroy me if you wish. I will simply awaken elsewhere. Nothing will change. For me, for you ... for this world."* Cawl remained silent, probabilities warping and reforming with fresh data. First an Eldar had set him on this path, now a Necron offered to guide his steps. But if the knowledge preserved the Omnissiah's Imperium ... *"Show me."* Sardonic laughter, dry as dust, echoed around the cavern. *"I thought you'd never ask."*

@@bossshun9killing Abbadon won't bring peace but it would definitely give a respite on one front for a time and give massive morale boost for the Imperium and a few other factions that have chaos as it's Archenemy.
@@bossshun9 I remember that in the Dawn of War trilogy, the Chaos Lord Eliphas returned in the second game DLC Chaos Rising after dying in Dark Crusade. The Librarian Jonah Orion said, "Souls are both bargaining chips and playthings in the warp. Eliphas may have died in the flesh, only to have his soul bartered around by demons." Abbadon might have an even worse time because he was the "heir" to the Chaos Legions and failed over and over and then finally dying? Yeah the Chaos gods would probably be fed up with him at the point.
I find it funny that around 2:14:24 Abbadon indirectly says that he totally believes spire to defeat the Chaos forces present and Karaz Goreflood still charges into battle with full motivation :)
2:20:30 and within the halls of that dying ship, Abaddon could hear Sigismund's final words coming to fruition: *_You will die as your weakling father died. Soulless. Honourless. Weeping. Ashamed._*

I was surprised to see Abbadon make a late appearance and even more surprised with how it turned out. Great angles & editing. I enjoyed every minute . . .
Either he died or retired my best guess given spire at the beginning was lord admiral (the same rank as ravensburg) but given the duty unto death Montra of the imperium the former is more likely
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Thadus_Valconet_Horst Here's your answer, but in short he died investigating chaos, more precisely why abaddon stole 2 blackstone fortress at the end of the gothic war.
"Lord Admiral Spire! You're just in time! The Imperium is under siege from Chaos, a Black Crusade, the destruction of Cadia, the expansion of The Eye of Terror, Hive fleets, Dark Eldar raiders, Greenskins, and...horrendous voice actors!" "By the emperor..."
"Brothers! We stand in the Light of the Emperor. We stand as the Bulwark of Mother Terra. Our enemies shall know our fury, they will break upon us as waves upon a stone. WE STAND FOR CADIA! WE STAND FOR TERRA! WE STAND FOR THE EMPEROR!"
The best part of this video is how easy the battles look. That mission involving dealing with an entire Chaos fleet, and then increasing waves of Tyranids was pure hell for me A true Imperial experience

The Inquisition at large has been stonewalling Guilliman since his ascension and the High Lords of Terra themselves conspired to launch a coup against him after threatening their power.
In times such as these, keeping your head and mind calm is important

There is one point of confusion for me in terms of the story: the disagreement with the inquisitor. Since the Lord commander, Guilliman himself is there with the macragge's honour, couldn't Spire have appealed to him to be the arbiter of the disagreement? Surely Guilliman's authority supersedes that of the inquisitor?
If I may, most likely that part of the story was meant to happen before Macragge´s Honour and Guilliman appeared. There was dialogue in certain parts of the story what makes sense only when you play them in certain order.

11:44 (Bold indicates spoken dialogue in the cutscene between Archmagos Cawl and Trazyn.)
Trazyn eventually made his way to Cadia, accompanied by several key items holding portions of his Imperial collection.
"Wait...What did you call me?"
Secondary circuits meshed, retrieving ancient data. A Necron. A soulless embodiment of the Motive Force. A blasphemy against the Omnissiah. Cawl's Arc Scourge slithered to life, energy crackling across its coils. *"You are an abomination."*
The Necron set his staff aside. *"'Thief' normally suffices. I prefer 'honoured guest.' But abomination or thief, you and I have common cause."*
Cawl willed the Arc Scourge's tendrils to war mode, already anticipating the joy of dissection. *"Logic dictates otherwise."*
*"Then you don't seek to understand the nature of this matrix?"*
The Arc Scourge grew still at Cawl's wordless command. This was unexpected. Or was it the abomination's trick to preserve its mockery of existence? *"You comprehend its secrets?"*
*"I was there when they were first erected. Or perhaps I wasn't. You of all people should understand that memory is a fickle thing."*
Cawl allowed an angry hiss to rattle through his rebreather. *"We share no commonality."*
"Perhaps. For me, for you ... for this world."*
Cawl remained silent, probabilities warping and reforming with fresh data. First an Eldar had set him on this path, now a Necron offered to guide his steps. But if the knowledge preserved the Omnissiah's Imperium ... *"Show me."*
Sardonic laughter, dry as dust, echoed around the cavern. *"I thought you'd never ask."*

It was only me or anyone else got exited with Reboute Guilliman's sudden arrival at field of battle ???
I was glad for it too.
Admiral Spire might be crueler than Hon'sou, who just kills an Ork's fishies like that?
Gramp Nurgle here, have a point
Hey gramp y can't you actually do anything productive and fight the tyranids.
All proceeds as the Architect of Fate wills and foresees. Failbaddon's antics had become dull and no longer a source of amusement.....
Great compilation of events ...
THANKS FOR UPLOADING.
Thanks for uploading. By far the best part of a sadly dissapointing campaign gameplay-wise.
14:14 The captain got BLAMed for his cowardice x)
Never ask a Comissar "to chill", for they take their duty seriously.
COMMISSARS HAVE NO CHILL!
(Expect two... Cain and Gaunt, blessed be their names.)
FUmarc don’t forget Yarrick!
And for his shitty voice acting
Commissars are without fear and mercy. Only a few will over look one's failure and cowardice.
Cadia broke before the guard did! FOR THE EMPEROR!
“Lord Zagthean, I don’t mean to be harsh but there’s a FUCKING GLORIANA BATTLESHIP ABOUT TO RAM US”
If only Battlefleet Gothic had the full 3d movement of Home World.
Now that would be something else. Especially if they added planetary invasions kinda like dawn of war... (Just wishful thinking.)
Good Work,as always !!!, To Sacrifice For Emperor is the Greatest Honor and Imperium When you Must !!! 😎.
Abaddon: *Starts another Black Crusade*
Spire: *HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TEACH YOU THIS LESSON OLD MAN?!*
gman:hey yvraine, shits hitting the fan, kind of need help
yvraine:i do it noone knows bout us.
later yvraine rolls up
failbadon:....oh fuck.
Ok In all seriousness what happened to my man Horst
What happened to my man ravensburg?
Either he died or retired my best guess given spire at the beginning was lord admiral (the same rank as ravensburg) but given the duty unto death Montra of the imperium the former is more likely
It's been 800 years. He probably hung up his inquisitors' robes and retired to old folks planet.

Here's your answer, but in short he died investigating chaos, more precisely why abaddon stole 2 blackstone fortress at the end of the gothic war.
"weq have not been found wanting"
Blood Ravens :hey!!!
Admiral Spire- (Warps behind you) Nothing personal kid. *RAMS*
Sauske: *slow claps* Ah they're learning...
40k is the most backwards universe ever
and I love it
Lol the smile face on the bugs 2:06:47
"Lord Admiral Spire! You're just in time! The Imperium is under siege from Chaos, a Black Crusade, the destruction of Cadia, the expansion of The Eye of Terror, Hive fleets, Dark Eldar raiders, Greenskins, and...horrendous voice actors!"
"By the emperor..."
"And we need you to turn this battle around. The Emperor Protects!"
Yvraine is such a tsundere. Its not like we were allies or anything b-baka.
and so weebs raised d flag
And so, from that moment forward, Admiral Spire was and will be forever be known as, Saint Spire, protector of the Imperial Navy.
Avenger of Cadia, ruiner of perfectly good bow hull paint
40:54 Damn, hands down to that eldar voice actor and the sounds effects guys, i just love it.
The necrons ruled during the near end of the Cretaceous period.
We weren't even _apes_ yet when these dudes were conquering everything.
2:06:44 "Hi there! You must be wondering on how I got here..."
Man, the actor who voiced Spire is a genius.
Preach my brother
The best part of this video is how easy the battles look. That mission involving dealing with an entire Chaos fleet, and then increasing waves of Tyranids was pure hell for me
A true Imperial experience
What a beautiful game that brings to life the fleet battles that we have all read about in 40k.
Spire is a badass and I was kind of surprised he actually managed to kill the Despoiler and the Vengeful Spirit lol. If only this happened in the lore.
Aw, this isn't Canon? Then what *did* happen in canon, and how exactly was Cadia destroyed?
@@kostakatsoulis2922cadia got destroyed just like in the game. I don't know much about the real Canon or what happened with Spire, but what I know is that abbadon wins
0:45:43 omfg the voice and words the Nurgle Commander is bliss to my ears.
>_>
His vocal pipes have been groomed of all its creamy phlegm by the bulbous throat-maggots living in his tonsils, so every his viscous voice secretes the pure joy of the Plaguelord.
Glory to Grandfather Nurgle
I think you’re being corrupted by Chaos my friend.
You do the Emperor proud this day, glorious sir!! Though I do wonder if you have recorded the alternative path for the Eldar ending, the one where the Craftworld is destroyed.
yes
I wonder... does this serve the Greater Good? Time will be our teacher.
*Robout Guilliman wants to know your location*
I just started playing this yesterday. I won’t lie, I giggled like a school girl when I got to control the Phalnax.
This was awesome! Thank you for posting it 🙏🤘
