Honestly Warrior doesn't look *that* bad. I'm disappointed that it doesn't have the hybrid auto. But the idea of a weird, primary target *what looks like mid-range* Weapon isn't the worst
I believe that skills on land should be similar to aquatic skills, this thief's multiple attack is very similar to skill 2 of the guardian's aquatic spear.
The back evade looks like it has movement potential, and it does have CC so it'll be an easy setup for a lot of things. I love that the animations aren't aids for my eyes like staff ^^ less visual polution all the way.
I want to be positive: I like the theming of electric-spear more than electric-hammer, but on the negative side it does worry me that we might be retreading the same ground here.
I'm actually pretty hyped about spear. I was kind of worried it would be a weapon you need to do "chores" to do like necro spear, but the mechanic is simple and effective Plus spear burst evade, full counter evade, then spear burst evade again is going to delightfully evil in PvP
I'm hopeful that the warrior spear will be a good drop-in replacement for rifle- shorter range, but better AoE and not always 100% on the back foot. Engi looks like it'll overlap with hammer a lot, which isn't necessarily a terrible thing, and thief looks cool but it's on thief.
Literally anything is a better replacement for Rifle on Warrior lol. But Engi looks pretty hype as well imo. The idea of dashing around as a living railgun, especially on "No Downstate WvW" weeks, whenever you finish a foe, really appeals to the anime-nerd in me hahaha ^^
So what do yall think? | I personally wonder how much "Range" is "Ranged" for Warrior lol ^^
Warrior got 8 seconds of thought.

Dang you're probably right. My bad.

I was really pulling for they hybrid auto as well. We've already seen how well "a range of damage" does balance-wise: [Dragon Trigger]

Apparently it's very "Assassin" from GW1. It's a cool system idea, so I'm glad to see it at least somewhere! 😄
At this point I'll take it just not being melee for Warrior... Baby Steps ArenaNet
Except that your only movement skill rolls you back when all your other skills reward you for being up-close. 🤣
Thief looks Rad
You mean "assassin" lol 🤣

I'm skeptical how useful a cc *after* an evade will be. But I guess we'll see when we can play with everything in a week. :D

No blocks on the spear so far. So maybe Hammer will still have a place? But I getcha, definitely valid points imo.

It'll probably be very good for Spellbreaker. I'm just wondering if it has a real stun/daze anywhere on it to combo w/ [No Escape].
the lack of melee/ranged autos for the "Weaponsmaster Class" annoys me honestly
This ^ I think is what hurt the most yeah. Maybe? it will make sense when we see it? (Maybe!? aka. Hopefully!?!?) lol
Just saw revenant's preview and had to come back to watch warrior LOL
Maybe warrior will get more than 20 seconds in the preview this time.
it will still be the shortest. guaranteed lol
That hurt last time. NGL.

Someone explain to me why people are saying Warrior spear remotely resembles paragon? Paragon was a support class no...?
