I figured it out you have to be sprinting and then slide ontop of a vehicle try pressing (for PlayStation) L3 and for Xbox I think it’s still L3?

Try getting in the car and exiting right away first. That's how I got it to work for me.
Got it to work if you use a flat car like the diestro it works easily
Dont just press sprint, jump and slide. You have to hold sprin the entire slide. This pissed me off

Same here and I tried it for longer than that, I have only tried it on Team Rumble so maybe thats the reason?
Another comment thread is saying it has to be original binds. Sounds like something Epic would code. 🙄
