Basically bought the entire Wax Trax catalog (mostly through the 80's), some of the acts moved onto Cargo but Wax Trax will always be my favorite label. Still have Front 242, Ministry, Front Line Assembly, KMFDM, Laibach, Thrill Kill Kult and many more in my collection.
James Deptuch Went into a Wax Trax in Denver in 1987. Had 20 bucks - bought Blue Monday extended, Beloise Some, and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me!!! Life changing day!!
Have two unopened cassettes of this that I picked up at WaxTrax in Denver a few years back. When they were digging in the basement and found a box of old FLA, Doubting Thomas, Front 242, and other WaxTrax classics they put them out!! Lucky day 🙌🏽
I was just watching the movie "Sisters" (Margot Kidder, 1972) last night, and at one point in the opening credits orchestra music it hit me like "WAIT, THAT'S A TKK SAMPLE!!!" The opening strings of this song. Even my wife looked up from her phone and looked at the TV.
Bought this in 93 in a beach town in FL. I would and did buy everything associated to KMFDM for the longest time. It helped me find a lot of things I would have otherwise missed. I loved this album.
7:17-End. In the late 90s when ridiculous sub-woofers in cars were hot, my boys would show up with their new set-ups and knew what was coming. This song, full volume, full bass. (I'll never buy anything from JBL after watching this song literally rip the rubber/gasket from a sub). This version doesn't do it any kind of justice, but I would blow the hell out of any set-up with this one bit. This is at a time when stores sold pure Bass songs just to test your set up and this part would blow them out of the water.
Yes!!! I've missed this so much, if I can find the cassette I've had for so long I can play it in the '99 Honda Acoord DX Manual w/Clutch I just got recently.., I think the tape deck is still-functioning, my Uncle or his Wife whom I got it from said.
The Days of Wine and Roses? No not that one. For some reason I cannot find the blasted album. Got off my ass and went to my small legacy record collection from the late 80s - early 90s ... got it! Cheers!
I may have missed out on prime-era industrial acts in the 90s such as the two here, TKK (even if I saw them live this past year) and KMFDM (Saw them live too tho in 2022) but I will never not rock hard to their catalogues
i really hope we have our own wave of industrial to listen to one of these days. it feels like all of the innovation has dried up. the only 'new' things people make these days just feel like fusions of various past acts. it's very sad to see
I have discovered where this line comes from. It was taken from the 1972 movie The Ruling Class, the same source of the "electric messiah, the AC/DC God" samples used in "Kooler Than Jesus." Here's a video with this epic scene from The Ruling Class: th-cam.com/video/l58RhPS8yUI/w-d-xo.html
What did kmfdm contribute here? Hmmm their signature crunchy guitarr and adventuresome synth-- the bass line could be either.. but i am gonna say its probably not Levi Levi.. 😊 sfo

Got the Koneitzko touch
kmfdm tended to do that
My first KMFDM and my first TKK album. Plenty of airplay at the crib in the early to mid 90s.
One of my favorite mlwttkk tracks, awesome that its been remixed by kmfdm, another good artist!
Had this Vinal soooo long ago..
I got it right now 🤷♂️
Great mix
I saw them in 1990 in Detroit. I was in the front row and licking Kitty Kildare's boots. Good times
Joe Martin in high school had this, great!!!

Wax Trax! was like my industrial version of 4AD and Earache.

DEATHH DISCO NOT INDUSTRIAL........DIGGIT DADDY-O ///
No such genre as, what do you call it, Death Disco?. Not even sa ub-genre. This is industrial. Straight up 80s Chicago Industrial Rock.
Agreed. Self-appointed "gatekeepers": Chill with all of the made up rules and imaginary sub-genres & just enjoy the tunes 🎧
Me
christian, zombie, vampyre, blahhhhhhhh.....
