Functions and Relations (Tagalog/Filipino Math)

- Hi guys! This video discusses the concepts of functions amd relations. Relations are just sets of ordered pairs while functions are special relations wherein for every first elemet of ordered pair, there corresponds a uniques second element. The set of first elements in a function is called the domain amd the set of second elements is called the range. Functions are used to denote the relationship of two or more variables. This is one of the useful topics in math as every equation can be expressed as a function of a viriable. Different notations and representaions can be used to specify a function like table of values, sets of oredered pairs, mappling, graphs, rule or equation. When using mapping we can have, one-to-one correspondence, one to many correspondence, and many-to-one correspondence being the first two as fucnctions and the lateter not. When using graph, we can determine if is a function using vertical line test. We solve some examples to further illustrate the concepts of functions and relations. Sir, equation in letter h in exercises is not a function since there is a radical sign having two values.

Hello sir. I appreciate po Ur work... Pero meron lang po akong nakitang konting error. I just want to help and correct it Sir not to harm u po. Dun po sa Testing for function May mga nakita po akong error. Sa number 2 test, na mention mo po na ung second ordered pair (second coordinate) walang match sa x. And sa number 3, nabanggit naman nio na one-to-many ay function. Dapat po many-to-one. Pasenxa na po. Mejo binusisi ko po ung video mo po kasi plan ko sana I share sa mga student ko. Pero so far madali naman maunawaan ung pagka deliver mo po.

Hi Jay! It should be function kasi walang nakalagy na + at - before the radical symbol. :) pero kung y^(2)= sqr(x-1) ang given, yan ang hindi function. :)
@@enginerdmath Ohhhh pero pano po for example kung mag substitute din ako ng 5? Yung magiging final answer po ba ay + & - 2 or walang + & - na symbol? Sorry po sir medj mahina po ako sa math hehe

pyramid. Before building the new attraction, you must build and
test a scale model.
a. If the height (h) of the scale model is 9 inches less than the
length of the side (s) of its base, write a polynomial function
that describes the volume of the model in terms of its length.
Use the formula for the volume of a pyramid, V = 1/3 s^2h.

The narrator's statement in 26:34 contradicts his statement in 20:17.
26:34 "...so, eto nga yung, one-to-many, na example which is a function na naman base dun sa natutunan natin kanina. Okay?"
20:17 "...so, obviously, etong one-to-many ay hindi. Kasi nilabag nya yung functions..."
Baka po mali lang ako nang pagkakaintindi o pagkakarinig. Kindly enlighten. Thanks!
