- Hey you guys! I went fabric shopping and can't wait to share with you what I picked up for spring sewing. All the prints and colors are in the building, so grab a snack, get comfy and let's get into it!

I’m both types; sometimes I have the pattern and then search for the fabric. BUT most of the time I see fabrics that the sewist that I’m watching has and then I search for that particular fabric without any idea what I want to make with it. I have to confess I’m a fabric addict. I have so much fabric it would take years for me to use it all. I did good for several months and didn’t go on the websites regarding fabric, but last week this sewist that I was watching had a fabric haul and that was it! I had NO well power and before I knew it I paused her video and was on the website that she had purchased her fabric. I not only purchased that fabric but several other fabrics. There I started, I have an addiction to purchasing fabric and patterns!!😂😂 but it makes me very happy😃😃🙏🏻🙏🏻
😂😂😂 That is hilarious! At least you're being honest. I definitely have a pattern habit. There's just so many good patterns. You gotta do what makes you happy, right! 😂
Beautiful fabrics. Can't wait to see the makes. Due to my job, I buy faster than I can sew. I usually buy fabric and patterns without the thought of the other. Sometimes, I end up buying a different fabrics once I decide which pattern I am going to make. Then, other times, the fabrics speaks out for a pattern I have. Either way, I have too much of both, but I love to shop.
Hi! I usually buy patterns and fabric just randomly. Once in a while I buy a pattern and the fabric I’m going to use at the same time.

The tropical green fabric is lovely (not too busy, and just looks like pretty leaves). Can't wait to see what you make!
I buy fabric I love when I see it. I don't always know what I'm going to do with it and have quite a stash now. I try to shop it first when I find a pattern I want to make.

French seams are very easy. I love finishing my seams in French seams.

I'm jealous! I ❤️ love your fabric choices. I had to LOL when you asked if the leaves on your tropical fabric looked like Marijuana leaves. No!! I see beautiful palm leaves!! I look forward to seeing what you make. We can't have enough notions. I like to have what I need on hand while sewing. I understand 6 months worth of fabric shopping in one shopping trip. Been there and done that myself! I know it cost $$$$, but it was fun, right?! Happy sewing and creating!

That fabric is 100% tropical! Same re: white and cream. Now that I’m an empty nester I’m willing to wear white and cream.

I’m a find the pattern first… But I am prone to picking up fabrics that I’m drawn to with no idea what to use it for.

I'm a "fabric first" girlie. But I'm trying to do better about planning a project for it when I'm buying now. That is helping a bit. But I still just like all the pretty things!😊 I had to catch myself this week and say just because that "would" be cute to make, doesn't mean I have to buy stuff and make it!
That chiffon is lovely- it's giving goddess dress vibes! When you were talking about the green floral I could imagine you talking so sweetly and encouragingly to your fabric as you work with it! 😅

Great fabric haul! I would love to see how you get on with the chiffon fabric. I bought 3 chiffon fabrics in my early days of sewing and have yet to work with them because I’m not sure how to treat them.

It’s hard not to buy good fabric. I try not to shop unless I have a project in mind. Doesn’t work out sometimes. 😂
