    Just a little tip if you use the bar without the wrachet once spark plug is loose you get the extention you need plug is loose so you can then spin it out. You can use bar like this to initially thread spark plug back in until you can't turn it then put wrachet on and finish tightning up. Also you can use feeler guage on old spark plug to see if the gap is the same. Great job good to see people taking on their own maintenance.

    Sounds like it's got a couple of problems.. What's wrong with the belt?. Or is it just in need of a general service?
    Cheers for vid, good work.

    • @RoyalAlloyRider
      @RoyalAlloyRider  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi mate, no problems at all. the service schedule says change the belt every 2 years or 6000 miles whichever comes sooner, although I'm sure these belts would last a lot longer, - It's a Bando brand belt, which I believe are excellent quality, from what I've read . Thanks for watching.

    Well done.thank you for the name check.two things how I wanted to help you!! Normally ngk plugs are preset so you shouldn't have to gap them. Buy yourself a proper gap tool should be round with different thickness. Dont use a screwdriver as easy to damage the core.you are quite right to carefully start the spark off.you would find if you had taken the ratchet off turn by hand leaving just the plug tool you would have much more feel.then when your happy it's not cross threaded do it up.i would recommend putting that tool and old spark plug in your on bike tool kit.with your head torch. As sometimes the plug or ht cap comes loose.so if you find when riding the power pulses check for loose plug or cap.
    Well done again I have found out people are reporting a problem with spark plug caps.they lose the click on to the plug due to poor quality. I was amazed when I saw your plug lead they still use metal caps in the 1980s they caused all sorts of problems in the wet shorting out.if I was you get yourself a ngk xb05f red or black.as a spare they just screw into the ht lead no tools.remember faulty plug or cap no spark going nowhere fast. I carry both.

    If you give the plug half a turn back you should feel the thread dropping into place and you'll make sure it's not cross threading. Same for every bolt.

    Fantastic effort, but a hint for when you are putting the spark plug back. Take the socket of the extention arm put the plug into it and then fit the plug in the hole, the socket gives you that extra length for the fidelly parts or use a smaller extention arm
